We are so lucky here! The practices are open to the public and they guys are all really good about signing stuff, etc.
I didn't have anything for them to sign today (but I'll have that avatar collage Thursday for Kovy!!!) so I had several of them (except our fearless leader, as he seemed quite overwhelmed and I was a little shy ) pose for pictures.
Coach Hartley was especially nice and approachable, as were most of the guys.
Exelby was really funny and tried to make a "mean" face (he was growling ) and Garnett made a big production of "fixing" his hair (as you can see, it really made a difference).
Kari smiled and waved at me as I stood beside the glass when I first got there like I was an old friend or something! (maybe he thought I was someone else? or is he always that nice??)
Anyway, here are some pics from today (please pardon my goofy appearance...I'm a bit of a clown sometimes and that hat is WARM)
Oh, and yes, we are VERY lucky to have open practices like that! I hope it stays as cool. If we keep winning like this and get really popular, though, it may become a thing of the past. Right now, there are only 20 or 30 folks showing up. I can imagine it could get "not fun" in a hurry if hundreds started coming out.
It helps that they are in the morning on weekdays when most people are at work. which will be me soon, so I'm taking advantage of this while I can!
Can't wait until tomorrow to get Kovy to sign the Kovy Army avatar collage! And to wish Hossa a Happy Birthday! Maybe I'll go dressed like Marilyn Monroe and sing it to him....
