Letowski

GG should get him and Chimera a center that can move the puck. Rupp has his good points but he is a fourth line that should be used to straighten out the other teams tough guys.

I think Hrdina would be a good fit when Manny gets back.

Nash-Fedorov-Zherdev
Balastik-Malholtra-Vyborny
Chimera-Hrdina-Letowski
Shelley-Rupp-Fritsche

The problem is that Balastik does nothing unless Hrdina is his center. You split 'em up, and we may as well send Jaro back to Syracuse.

Meh. I think that's crap.

Jaro has enjoyed some success while skating with Hrdina, sure, but the sample size is a bit too small to make that judgement, IMO.

And I'm pretty sure Fantastik Balastik doesn't use Hrdina's stick in the shootout.

I don't think it's "crap" when you stop and realize that 6 of Balastik's goals this season have come while playing on a line with Jan Hrdina, and 0 have come while playing without Jan Hrdina. And shootout performance is as useless as **** on a nun unless you actually get into a shootout.

Because those few Shootout wins have no bearing on the standings whatsoever.

It may only be the dif. between 29 and 30, but that's a difference nonetheless

It would seem to me that Manny would be a good fit between Chimera and Leto. Don't know that he's the "puck mover" coyote suggested, but they should certainly be able to create some chances, esp. if they can get Chimera to go to the net. Fritsche could be a guy there as well.

Hrdina was on the ice for 5 of his 6 goals, this is true.

I still think that your hypothesis is irrelevant or is at least a bit preliminary.

You could also look at it from the inverse. -->We might as well send down all our other centers because Hrdina is the only one who can find the open Balastik.

My final point about the shootout clouded our debate. But, you do seem to shrug off this small variable to tout another.

meanwhile....on topic:

I dig Letowski.

If I didn't hear Rimmer and Engblom mention it over and over that he's been snakebit lately, I'd mention it myself.

Hopefully he will pick up some points as we start taking the pressure off of him to be more than he is.

Don't ever, ever agree with The Rimmer. It only encourages him.
