The call is irrelevant. The fact is that for 59:57 of that game, we had no offense. Hank played well, the D played well.

Richards needs to wake up, the powerplay is a pile of ****, and every shot we took hit a stick on the way to Fatso. Tough team to play against for sure.

Lack of offense is very concerning. Refs are refs, they suck. I don't hear anyone complaining about the missed high stick on the Devils player in the 3rd or the missed interference call around the same time.

Nobody's cares to mention that the lone goal was scored because of a lazy play by a 7th defenseman

The Devils' M.O. is always come out fast and forecheck to try and get the games first goal, then sit back and protect a lead by clogging the zone.

Henrik rarely has a problem with these guys, but when you give them an early PP, you're setting yourself up for failure.

Bickel sucks. Never liked him. But I'm also no fan of Eminger or Woywitka, and Staal is playing about as well as any of the three.

Rangers are now 6-5 in their last 11 games. Granted, one was a BS fluke SO loss, but it's still a loss.

Teams are starting to find weaknesses. It's either up to the struggling players to wake up or Sather to start working the phones. I'll go for the former. It's too early to panic.

Everyone saying we didn't deserve points in this hockey game shouldn't call yourselves hockey fans. Teams win and gain points every day when they don't play their best games. It's called being a good hockey team.

I just hate games where the refs are the main story of the game.

Three stars

Hank
Richards
McDonagh

Who keeps saying we dont deserve the points....a goal is a goal no matter when it is scored ....i dont care if we put it in with 0.1 seconds left....devils didnt do much either in this game...but sometimes a game goes that way tightly played....they scored we tied it very late...why dont we deserve to tie it late....cause we didnt score on our other shots on net..guess what the goalie on the other team is supposed to stop our shots....but we scored very late...and we dam sure deserve at least 1 point. Dont they say play hard until its over...so whats the problem...the ref blew the call and we deserved that goal because we worked to score it...

Did they earn that point, not really, but a point is a point, and technically this game should be in OT right now.

It happens though, bed time. Hoping for some good nightmares to scare this ****** game from my memory.

And I was having such a good day with the parade...

The Good: The pickup in the 3rd period I guess? Team was rather slow today.
The Bad: Meh, not a fan of the "interference call" but it is what it is.
The Redden: Seriously, whoever runs this PP must be tarred and feathered. My god, it's like witnessing a war crime every time the PP unit is out.

Seriously... I don't understand this mindset at all.... just because we didn't play well in the first and second, whatever, we played well in the third, and a blown call cost us a point and possibly the win.

Tough call at the end. The replay makes it look like he was pushed. Real time, it's so hard to tell. We'd be pissed if someone did that to Lundqvist and the goal was allowed.

I know it's frustrating, but life (and the season) goes on.

The problem here was the first 40 minutes of ineptitude. That said, Torts has never endeared himself to the referreeing community, which makes it a lot easier for them to make calls like that against us. That ref seemed to truly enjoy making that call. The way the NHL calls goalie interference is a problem overall. Either make the crease sacred, or not. Making it some sort of judgement call is a mistake and leads to this happening. Volchenkov was all over Gaborik hooking him all the way in. Gaborik tries to stop, but to no avail.

exactly...sometimes the game is tight..sometimes you dont play well....but i dont care if they didnt get a shot on goal all game...if the one shot they shoot goes in it counts...what does having played well or not have to do with anything...the ref blew the call....that was a goal...whether we played well bad or indifferent dosent matter....

Lundqvist and McDonagh had good games. Gabby looked great in the 2nd and 3rd and Richards looked good in the 3rd. He ran that PP just a shame no one could score.

It's ridiculous that two flukey plays have given the Devils wins. Oh well, we caught them while they've been hot and we've been meh.

Exactly...ref's gotta make that call in real time while watching the puck as well. With the league looking to protect netminders...I can see why the ref made the call he did. Lord knows we've had some go our way this season as well.

Brutal first period, decent 2nd, good 3rd. I'm not furious because their lone goal was so long ago, just stunned they got lucky for the 2nd game in a row against us. Should be in OT right now.

It's a bad call, but it's very difficult to make the right call in real time in that situation. Plays like that should really be reviewed.
