"Not to rain on the parade but the goal notwithstanding, the 2nd line was still absolutely hideous most of the game. Zero sustained pressure most of the time, consistent turnovers entering the zone, and dump and no puck recovery in the offensive zone."

Not too sure what game "lagwagon0" was watching but I sure didn't see it that way- thought the Richards line was playing against the Stamkos line most of the night and did a nice job on them.

Really nice to see the forwards help Quick out. I was hoping for a goal when he was trying to clear it.

Is that from the GAME or from you having your underwear on backwards and inside out for Luck ?

Scuds beaten again on the 2 on 1 (three games in a row)
None were completely his fault, he has just had some bad luck and the pass has gotten through and turned into a goal.

Funny thing about tonight's game...

It was the same type of game they played against St. Louis and Carolina.....

I can't fault Scuderi on the Tampa goal. That's just bad luck to break the stick on his shot, not any kind of stupid play. Plus they're criticizing him for how he went down to the ice without his stick defending the 2-on-1 against two hotshot offensive players. If Stamkos had crashed the net at an even rate of speed that would have been a great play by Scuderi. Instead, Stamkos made a hesitation move and was then able to receive the pass. The NBC Sports studio guys acted like Scuderi made some kind of mistake that he had to "make up for" with the nice pass to Clifford. I think Scuderi had a strong game as did all 6 Kings defensemen tonight.

IMHO, this was the best game Penner has ever played in a Kings jersey. He could have had 2 or 3 goals. At one point, I actually saw him in a race with a Bolt for a loose puck......and he almost won!!!

That was a great lock-down third period. The best part was the way we locked it down, by playing in their zone the entire period. Thought everyone played well, but Willie Mitchell stood out to me. Not an easy task to shut down St. Louis and Stamkos like that.

Am I the only one that was impressed with Tampa's arena? Very clear to see the players and puck, I enjoyed the views as well.

Sure, take some, the only difference between tonight's game and the previous two, is that the Kings FINISHED their chances,

The previous two games, if they finish their chances, they win, they didn't, they lost.

Everything else about the game was pretty much the same...

Decent win. Not so solid first. 1 lucky break was the difference between a win and a shutout win. I'm happy to get the two points and Minny lost tonight.

Well Sutter agrees with him, so I guess they share the stuff.

On a positive note, no one on the team finished a minus after the game, everyone was either even or plus.

I think Sutter is high on this one.

The effort tonight was way better. Guys actually went to the dangerous spots and took punishment tonight. No such thing happened in the Carolina game.

St. Louis, yea I think it was similar. Carolina? No way.

Pretty sloppy first half, we manned up later on.

The first half is a summation of what happens when we half ass games, even then we stand not a terrible chance of winning. The second half is what happens when we focus and work together. Maybe a dozen games this year have been played from beginning to end in that fashion.

Also Mike Richards. It was a clean hit, but you want Richards to have a good game against the team that took him out and halted his stellar first quarter of play.

What was different about the Carolina game?

Ward stood on his head and made some unbelievable stops, if the Kings FINISHED those chances, they win.

They did that tonight, they won.

The effort and gameplan in all 3 games was the same, the difference was, Halak, and Ward, and that's about it.
