With Dylan Reese out with a knee injury and Milan Jurcina questionable. Who gets called up Ty Wishart or Matt Donovan for the game on Thursday against Montreal?

Donovan - Wishart is worse than Cairns with skates. At least Cairns could drop them and someone in front of the net.

It's got to be Donovan.. I'm really hoping one of these kids (ness/donovan) pull a Hamonic and play themselves to permanent spots on this team.

Edit: Just checked twitter and Staple had this posted:

Dylan Reese in a pretty serious leg brace after game. If Milan Jurcina isn't ready for Thursday, Matt Donovan may get call from BPT. #Isles
Sucks for Reese.

That is my thought as well. Just feel bad for De Haan Job because he could have been the one to do it and justify his draft position.
Hopefully, Ness, Donovan and De Haan Job get permanent fixtures next year and get rid of the old rust on this team.

Our defense corps is just getting worse every passing day. It's a major cause for alarm. We have 3 games in 4 days coming up next, it could get really ugly here.

Really disappointed for Reese. I've always liked him, I hope it's not too serious.

Just by looking at where Reese hurt himself again, it looks like a torn ACL to me. I tore mine a couple of years ago, and my knee twisted almost similar to what happened to Reese. I hope I'm wrong.

I think Donovan gets the call. Sucks because we'll be ruining Bridgeport's D.

I didn't see it so I'm just going by what I read on twitter but I thought it was a groin issue?

And it does suck because Bridgeports been on fire since the start of January..

He would be an upgrade on what we'll probably be icing that game.

Agree with the bolded. I thought Donovan looked good in camp. With that said, we've been ruining Bridgeport for the past 3 seasons. I'm sure they're used to it. Thankfully, the sheer volume of quality prospects coming along will help them (and us) out in the next 2-3 seasons. (Actually adding to our NHL club without much subtracting of actual bodies from Bridgeport would be even better.)

For now, yeah, it sucks.

It would be nice to see the team trying to add a mobile defender with size and a decent first pass. (I'm not expecting them to be capable of adding a top guy.) We have 3 important expiring contracts on defense. Adding that kind of guy would be good for NOW and the NEAR FUTURE. Get on it Garth. It's worth it. I don't want to see them just toss the remainder of this month away. It's good for now and it improves our ability to bargain for the remaining slots at D.

Mitch

Howie stated on the broadcast that it was a knee injury.

Yeah, agree with everything. I just think ruining BST's D this year is even worse considering the run that they've been on as of late, I just don't want to mess with what they've got going on.

Wait....that is actually not a bad idea.
I know you were joking and all but I would love the idea of brining Jonsson back for one more game on Saturday. Give him about 8 minutes of ice team and PP time.
It will never happen but it would be awesome.

I outgrew my ice skates like 15 years ago. I'm not available to play D

Gotta be Donnovan. Should have been Donnovan over Ness.

Who else thinks Howie will crack the very same joke on Saturday to KJ? Methinks it's a slam dunk.

To get back on topic, I am looking forward to see Donovan even if it's just for a game. I'd like to see what all the fuss is about with my own eyes.

That's a lock to happen haha.

I'm excited to see Donovan also.. Two prospects making their debuts with in a couple days span should be fun to see what they could do.

I know that it sounds crazy, but with the injuries mounting I would send a call out to Bryan McCabe in case anyone else goes down.

Sucks for Reese as he didn't put a foot wrong (no pun intended!) last night. Hopefully it's not as bad as it seems now.
