Ellis? Alright.
Not quite the Ville Koistinen in the shootouts we hoped he is.

Damn it. Looks like Wilson actually got it through the five hole, but went wide

My brother is blaming this one on the production truck. They showed Erat's 100% SO percentage on the season, and he missed it. Showed Wilson's 100% SO percentage on the season, and he missed it.

Dammit. All ellis had to do was lift the puck... Lucky to get a point after that crappy first but still a major missed opportunity

Well... we are tied with St Louis now, though technically they are ahead. It's all right. Keep beating them and we'll hold the tie breaker at the end of the season. Since that's the only time that tiebreakers matter I'm going to go ahead and say we are ahead of them.
edit: I forgot about the "greater number of wins, excluding shootout wins" tiebreaker. The Blues have only won one game in the shootout.

So had Ellis lifted the puck over the pad on the back hand we win. Had Wilson not knocked the puck five hole and wide we get another chance to win. That's a close loss, especially considering how poorly the guys played at the end of the first.
Still... one point is better than no points.

Why in the world is Craig Smith not higher up in the shootout rotation?

Canucks fan coming in peace.
Great game tonight, even though we completely collapsed in the second period.

Hope to meet you guys in the playoffs for entertainment value...but not for getting through easily. If it weren't for Kesler last year, you might have ended up in the WCF.
And Weber will be ours

Well we got outplayed in the first with Rinne allowing a soft one and then Luongo allowing two soft ones. Good game to watch. Vancouver was beatable and we couldn't finish them off. We can't win them all but we should have won this one. Legwand sometimes you have tunnelvision one way and to have an open goal like that ....Oh! Well. On to the road trip.

I was about to ROFLOL if Smithson had come up next before Smith. But you just have to know that's how Trotz would have called it.
I figured with all the moves Smith would have picked up at the ASG he would have been one of the first 3.

Another entertaining Preds-Nucks game. I like the way Nashville plays. Puck hounds, strong one-on-one battles.
Maybe Poile can figure out a way to add another piece up front for you guys. A gamebreaker like Parise could make the Preds a favorite in the West.
