Leafs won today which helps.

Eventually I think Leafs make it, Sens drop out and Caps get in. I'd be happy with Leafs/Sens as 7/8.

Datsyuk had a good opportunity to tie the game

I don't relish the thought of a 1st round matchup vs. Ottawa. They seem to bring their A game against us.

Dont know if I could handle a Leafs Rangers 1st round. Being from Toronto, all of my friends have been rubbing in the first few losses that the Leafs have handed us this year. Caps/Leafs are 2 teams I don't want to face in the P-offs.

Evgeni Nabokov made 45 saves and the Islanders beat Philly 1-0 in the shootout. Another low scoring game between Atlantic division teams.

Winter Classic 2013. Leafs@Wings

The Big House

NHL has offered to pay $3,000,000 for license to use Big House for Winter Classic. @DaveBrandonAD calls it a great opportunity

The NHL makes so much money. The NHL buys the home date from the Wings. They pay the use the building. They kept everything else.

110k seats and a football stadium instead of a baseball park, this sounds incredibly promising.

Vinny Prospal just signed a one year extension at 2,5M with the Jackets.

Leafs at Wings sounds so boring though. Wings are fine but the Leafs? Who wants to watch a 24/7 with the Leaf players. Not I.

Why are the Red Wings in another one?

Get a different team in there.

Every road team gets a chance to eventually host one.

Detroit played at Chicago. Now they get their home game, much like we will eventually.

Tortorella would absolutely love Ortmeyer.

Probably because they're the only team that would pay him 2.5M.

Overpayment for what he brings, IMO. I don't even think he'd get that much on the open market.

Sucks to read about the Prospal extension. Thought he would have been a really solid pickup for us at the deadline that wouldn't have cost much.
