The rules to this game are simple. You get two picks, one of them can be any player on the team including the top 5 goal scorers. The other one is your dark horse pick (whole team excluding the top 5 goal scorers). This "dark horse" player is typically the guy who's not so likely to pot the first goal of the game. The list of ineligible dark horse picks are as follows.

Michael Grabner
John Tavares
Matt Moulson
Mark Streit
Kyle Okposo

Pick your goal scorer and your dark horse, and cross your fingers! Points are awarded as so:
Four points awarded if you are the first person to pick a player as a dark horse.
Three points awarded if you pick a player as a dark horse.
Two points awarded if you are the first person to pick a player as your normal pick.
One point awarded if you pick the goal scorer with your normal pick.
An extra point if you guess the situation the goal was scored in correctly (Even Strength, PP, SH, Penalty Shot) .

I'd like to remind everybody that this game is open for everybody to play. Regardless of your favorite team or if you've never attempted to play before. The only thing about it is, you have to pick an Islanders player to score. The opposing team doesn't count.

Please note that once the game has started, no more picks will be allowed.

In the case of a shutout, no points will be awarded.

I never played this before so this may be a stupid question. I tried my picks for october 8th and I was unable to do so as an error kept popping up. Do I have to wait for a certain date or something?

Sim and Martinek are still listed and.. less important, Rolston and Mottau are spelled incorrectly. Also, The Islander's website says three more to be cut, so I don't know how this will affect the remaining listed players.

Got them, also added 2 that were missing and fixed the Goal scorers list.

Anyone that put in picks before just now may get away with a few extras if they win one of the first few games.

As for the people that offered to help with site updates, ill PM you sometime next week. Thanks and goodluck to everyone that plays this year.
