I was referring to Tavares' cap hit taking over Rolston's next year in order to reach the cap floor. That's under the assumption that Wang continues to insist the Isles spend no more than the cap floor.
As Kevin pointed out, his raise won't completely take over Rolston's current cap hit, since he's already got a cap hit of $3.75 million. But that almost extra $2 million in cap hit might mean there's only $3 million of Rolston's current hit that needs to be replaced, not the full $5 million.
