Wasn't it Devereaux's hat trick in the final game that squeeked us by teams ahead of us in the standings, preventing us from Schenn?

Our roster would look pretty complete now, and for the future, had we lost that game.

Lupul Bozak Kessel
MacArthur Grabovski Kulemin
Crabb\Lombardi Schenn Frattin
Brown Steckel Armstrong

Phaneuf Gunnarsson
Gardiner Schenn
Liles Franson

Because the mere hint of Brayden becoming a Toronto Maple Leaf results in an exceptionally large amount of orgasms here.

I'd love to see a B. Schenn - Aulie + deal worked out.

We're trading with a team, who is the same playoff hunt as we are?

Can't see it. Maybe off season.

Can everyone PLEASE stop calling him a power forward. He's not.

AULIE to Flyers

As a Flyers fan who follows and like the Maple Leafs, I am imploring my Maple Leaf Brothers to give us Aulie for cheap and we can deal JVR and one of the untouchables or add a draft pick or two for Schenn and Aulie. The Leafs would get JVR, a strong prospect from the AHL Phantoms and draft pick.

Think after all the Boston trades think the idea of not trading for reasons like that has been lost on people. Unless the GM's never thought either of them would have to compete down the road.

If being in the same playoff race is a reason then a trade wouldn't happen in the offseason and would wait until they can finally get approved that new alignment. In theory down the road we're competing against everyone in the East for playoff spots.

I wish. IF I was #17, I would do a deal with the Leafs EVERYDAY until the deadline. Toronto is filled with capable strong d-men. Also, I would love to see Shea Weber in the orange and black, because this huge talent is on a team that has no fan support-NONE! NEVER GONNA' BE A HOCKEY TOWN! We need to get great talent filtered to real hockey towns, so the Nashvilles, Tampa Bays, the Devils, Phoenix and other teams that are a product of over expansion collapse! Bring back the 60's and 70's...I am spoiled by the past brother!

I know. One of the major reasons why all the Wilson/American hate is foolish. Other than the obvious ignorant racist part lol

While gainfully employed by the Maple Leafs, there continues to be speculation Luke will somehow join Brayden in orange and black by the Feb. 27 trade deadline, if not elsewhere....

Can't imagine Burke would give up on a home grown asset like Schenn without a major piece coming back. He wouldn't do Schenn plus a 1st for Tavares can't expect just because the Flyers want him that the price wouldn't be extremely high.

Of course he would, without hesitation. Shame he's never had the opportunity.

Schenn for JVR isn't exactly the bargain rack. In fact I would never take a concussed player for a young Schenn.

That was the rumor at the draft. The Isles wanted Schenn plus the Leafs first (Kadri). Burke even stated that he could have moved up but it would have cost Schenn and he didn't want to do that. Not saying he wouldn't do that today if it was available.

What I am saying is that if Schenn is moving it will be for a major piece coming back. A piece that can help the Leafs for years. Since JVR is injured that's unlikely. I mean who's dumb enough to take a concussed player? Maybe as a dump but not for one of your cornerstones.

Couturier is the only player that makes sense or that I could see Burke getting excited enough to do something. Sure Giroux but let's be realistic.

Leafs don't need more bodies -- in fact they need less -- so diluted assets won't be done. It'll be 1-1, 2-1, 3-1 but not 1-3.

Why doesn't Brayden Schenn make sense? He's a center.

I could see possibly JVR and Read + pick working but not sure Leafs want to move both Schenn and Aulie. unless they are really confident in Holzer

maybe Schenn and Holzer for JVR + makes more sense but to be honest the Flyers prospects are pretty weak
