i like what buffalo did tonight they didn't back down. hope habs do the same. that's why i liked lapierre vs B's. he had them off their game constantly. but weirdo traded him for 0 and we've been looking for a 4th line center with size and some grit ever since. that move made sense. especially when dysfunctional vanilla wall flowers coach and manage(d) the team. can't have colorful personalities. amazing PK has lasted this long with mr burns on the 7th floor

It's funny how Subban can slewfoot once every 2 games, yap after EVERY shift, never answering for his shots, but Lucic and Mcquaid are a disgrace. Homerism at it's finest right there...
The difference is Laraque challenged Lucic to a fight and he **** his pants. Mr. Tough Guy who likes to pick his opponents isn't as tough as many make him out to be. The other thing is Lucic will just jump in and start throwing cheap shots regardless of who it is. Different scenario. If you have such a man crush on them why don't you go chear for the Bruins? McQuaid is absolute garbage! But your right, we do need McQuaid and his 8 points on the season! LOL

only a stupid, reactive management staff gets rid of guys that quickly when they're unhappy. Because we all know that weirdo and martin were excellent communicators. always easier to trade guys than problem solve i guess

Loved on Carey pretty much **** on both of them this past week. Cunny is the only coach that treated him like a person.

Good god, you really don't get it. I would love to see Chara or Scott or MacIntyre "challenge" our only fighter Travis Moen and see what happens. Mr. Tough intimidates other teams almost every game, and he does it damn well too. I won't chear for Boston, but it's my right to dream of having players like Lucic or Carkner on our team. You have homer tunnel vision, you see what you want to see because you like the Habs, I don't.

Because Martin is such a "1 size fits all" type coach, he decided to take out Lappierre from the pk and put Cammalleri instead. No wonder the guy felt useless on the team, it's too retarded to go unoticed by players.

Sabres win and Ducks/Canes go to OT. Top 5 pick is meant to be.

Watching the CGY-SJ game. Whenever Cammy is on the ice, SJ sends out the Thornton line.

Anaheim and Carolina couldn't have gone better. Both of those teams are hot enough to pass us.

despite being red hot lately, they're still 27th...

so, unless you think they're going to keep playing for .700 for their last 30 games...

I don't get these statements. Bruins could have played a completely clean game, they'd still have won.
They won due to incredible goaltending and good depth, not goonery and dirty play.

Lapierre&Habs should have been more patient imho. He'd be extremely useful for us right now and would get the icetime he wanted.

In one of JM's interviews after being fired, I think it was on 990 with Marinaro, he said they traded Lapierre to make room for Desharnais. I'm not 100% if it was that interview, but I specifically remember JM saying that was why they traded Lapierre.

Good for them... there's 4 teams between them and Minn though... and that .700 thing, it would be barely enough to get 90 pts...

It makes sense at the time and was probably a good short term decision. Desharnais was red hot, Lapierre was slumping, Desharnais and they were competing for a 4th center line spot.

Long term however its a bad decision because they don't compete with each other. I see Lapierre as a 4th line center or 3rd line winger that could grow as a PK specialist. Definitely more of a defensive forward with occasional offensive bursts so he's a good utility forward.

Desharnais obviously is a much more offensive oriented player. He's clearly become a top6 player that can play the PP well.

In the end this team would be much better with Lapierre instead of Noke, sadly.

I understand you Habs fans are still angry that you lost in the playoffs and you need to find excuses why you were beaten, (but saying "Colin Campbell Greg Campbell dad helped the Bruins win the Cup is ridiculous to say the least..) Before being traded to the Bruins last year Greg Campbell played 6 seasons for the Florida Panthers. The last time the Florida Panthers were in the playoffs was back in 2000, why didn't Colin Campbell Help his son when he was playing for the Florida Panthers???

I think Lapierre saw himself as a 3 rd line center. I think it wasn t until he was traded again, to Vancouver that he realized that maybe he was a 4th line center with the minutes that come with it. The next move for him was going to be out of the league. He had to get to like the 4th line.

I understand the fact that you need to defend the fact that we need to find excuses to why we have excuses that we defend our loss with excuses that defend the excuses that we defend.

When you an entire year with getting every call your way. Then there's something there. Just to name a few, the Chara hit, Ference flipping the bird, Horton throwing a water botlle in the crowd, Rome getting suspended for the rest of finals.
