Ottawa is on pace for 90.5 pts.

19-8 would give us 91 pts to finish the season.

Am I expecting us to make it? no.
Do I think it's possible? yes.
Am I under the impression that if I cheer for a win or loss it will affect the outcome of the game? no.

You guys should just sit back and enjoy the ride either way, there's no need to stress out over the team winning, which just sounds ridiculous.

To be honest I don't think it's that unfathomable for us to go on a 19-8 stretch. A lot of our loses have come from giving up leads in the 3rd, and not taking advantage of our powerplays. If the coaching staff can work with the players and shore those things up, PP and holding a lead, then it's not out of the question. What I'm saying is, it's not like we haven't been competing with teams, and simply getting blownout night after night. If anything we've had more difficulty handling the weaker teams, luckily they aren't in the playoffs if we do happen to make it.

That being said, I would still like to see us be sellers at the trade deadline.

Geez, those 2 blown leads against NJ last week and Pitt before the ASG (among others) are 3 points they should have had. Then they'd be 6 back of TO heading into Saturday's game with a chance to move within 4. Frustrating season.

They usually lost these " so called" games of the Year. That is why they are in that situation.

Just nitpicking:

If you're going by projections, the 90.6 puts Ottawa in 9th. Toronto would be in 8th with 92.4.

Rank Team PROJ
1 NY Rangers 115.1
2 Boston 107.2
3 Philadelphia 104.8
4 New Jersey 100.2
5 Pittsburgh 98.7
6 Florida 94.4
7 Washington 92.6
8 Toronto 92.4
9 Ottawa 90.6
10 Winnipeg 84.9
11 Tampa Bay 80.5
12 Buffalo 80.5
13 NY Islanders 80.5
14 Montreal 79.0
15 Carolina 74.5

...but I agree with everything else in your post. Enjoy the ride, cheer the team on, sell at the deadline.
