the puck was not near Fedotenko. i dont care if the hit was from behind, upside down, under the ice, whatever..it was a dirty, gutless play.

I think they should give the shot to Wolski and see if he responds in the next couple of weeks.

I think Newbury is a likely scenario. Swell. Wouldn't mind giving MZA a shot, but I doubt that happens.

Disagree. He's not a dirty player, but he takes some liberties, and he has ever since his days with the Wild, IMO.

Found at the main board about the hit;

Moore comments;

"“To be honest, I was coming into the slot and trying to make myself available for a shot,’’ Moore said. “Their guy, and I didn’t know who it was until after, tried to come over and take me away. I was just trying to compete for body position and I guess he wasn’t ready for that.’’

Since EC was traded my guess it wont be him if anyone is to sub for Feds

The Philly game might be time to try going with 7 D. Keep Eminger in the regular rotation and dress Bickel. The Flyers will be in an ornery mood after losing 4 straight to us this season and it being a home game to boot. Torts doesn't often give 4th liners much ice-time anyway. See what Bickel looks like skating as a F for a couple of shifts. If he totally blows, double-shift people on the wing. If he's ok, might be a useful option down the road. Helps out Rupp in the fighting department, keeps Prust on the ice more, doesn't reduce the defensive rotation to 5 when he's in the box.

That comment by Moore is total ********. He jumped up to make sure he got Fedotenko in the head.
Moore ought to sit for a long time. He simply went for the guys head, from behind! Actions, not his ******** words, prove it.
I'm still steamed the Rangers didn't beat the piss out of that carnt.

And, by the way, Moore said after the game: “To be honest, I was coming into the slot and trying to make myself available for a shot. Their guy, and I didn’t know who it was until after, tried to come over and take me away. I was just trying to compete for body position and I guess he wasn’t ready for that.” Uh, huh. Listen to the start of the Boyle interview a couple of threads down. He said Moore was yapping about the hit that Fedotenko laid on him before the shoulder to the head shot.

Moore knew what he was doing.

If The Rangers are planning a trade with Zuke, there is no use calling him up. Wolski or Newbury is my guess.

Btw, how in the world could Moore just skate off the ice without any Rangers standing up for Feds? That hit was nasty... We do not want to see that...

Any chance Avery gets the call-up to fill Fed's role?

Well...that certainly is one way to keep from being traded to the NYR team .

They are. Let's hope playing big minutes and putting points on the board has boosted W2's confidence. I'd like to see him reach for his potential.

If he comes back and plays without effort, just waive him.

If I'm the Flyers, and the Rangers put Newbury or Deveaux on re-entry, I'm grabbing them...it's a crappy move but it's smart I think...pick them up, play them or don't play them on Saturday and then waive them to Adirondack on Sunday...I don't know if it's legal or not, but I wouldn't see why not. But if you're the Flyers it's obvious the Rangers are calling up one of those two guys because they can play a tough game, why not block that move to prevent one of your guys from potentially getting hurt?

I doubt that situation would happen though...I'm sure GMs have more class than that and nobody ****s with Sather.

I'd rather see AD called up than Newbury...put him out there for the opening faceoff, I'm sure Lavs will counter with Sestito and let the fireworks roll baby

The hit was similar to one that put Crosby out. I think Shanny will go after Moore.

Newbury can proly fill the role but really has no upside. Would rather play wolski on the second line and move Hagelin to Feds spot. Just my two cents.

Isn't Deveaux still suspended for 3 games?

I'm hoping WW gets his shot.

A suspension will be nice but all I see is a fine coming. God, I love Stralman, helped Feds off the ice. Great addition this year.

Awards:
Add some games for the nature of the penalty — it was retaliatary.
