Blue Jacket Fight Cards

After 'Wednesday Night Fights' I thought I do a little browsing on over at hockeyfights.com - found some interesting stats in this department that I thought I share:

- CBJ are tied for 5th in the league with 24 total fights
- Jody Shelley is tied for 5th in the league with a total of 8 fights
- Here is the complete CBJ fight breakdown:

Shelley 8
Goertzen 4
Rupp 3
Hainsey 2
Beauchemin 1
Chimera 1
Foote 1
Johnson 1
Klesla 1
Malhotra 1
Nash 1

Hockeyfights.com has a complete breakdown of all the fights and who they think won them.

..and for those wondering who leads the league so far this year - its Brian McGrattan of the Ottawa Senators.

Weird story--I actually met Brian McGrattan's sister in a shop when I was in Toronto a couple months ago.

I had on a Blue Jackets shirt and she asked if I knew hockey pretty well, and I said sure, and she asked if I knew of a "tough kid named Brian McGrattan". I said I did, and she introduced herself as his sister.

Any stats on Hockey Hugs? I know Nash had 2 last game. One long one with Leclaire and a short one with Crosby.

Doesn't surprise me, that kid is psycho. I've seen him in two incidents where he tried to use his stick as a weapon from his bench. (once even was a pre-season game)

Not my favorite player from opposing teams.

Great website, I love the descriptions they give.

Plus, I just found a great tidbit. Adam Foote has only fought once this year, and he only fought once in '03-'04 with Colorado. The willing partner that night? None other than our own Jason Chimera, good stuff!
