I was at the game last night, and I noticed a strange aura surrounding our section. Upon leaving, I noticed that the entire Alfredsson clan was sitting in the box seat behind me. Just sitting that close to Jesus 1 through 3 was awesome. I think Jesus #4 was at home.
Fun fact. 2 of the boys were wearing Fisher Predator jerseys and the other was wearing a Fisher Sens t-shirt.
Great atmosphere tonight, one for the scrapbook. It is so nice when all the fans are in the same boat, cheering their team. This year, minus the Leafs games, there are more spontaneous chants and cheering and fan interaction that I honestly can't remember such a good atmosphere...may the winter of 1997 when the Sens were gunning for the playoffs.
Everyone played well. They came out and dictated the play and they just look hungrier, like they woke up and decided that they were going to do what it takes to win.
After the highlights Mike Fisher's interview is pretty funny. Tuned into TGOR this morning to see how the firings would be addressed and they mentioned it.
Basically you've got Fisher smiling his ass off and when they ask him if Phillips kinda stole the night "OH ya he did! *big smiles*" then all of a sudden he remembers his team lost "Oh.. I mean.. yeah we didn't play the greatest...". Good too see the friendship is still strong with those 2007 boys!
