Lehtonen vs Garon

Who do you all think will have more wins from now until the end of the season? I never really get to see either team.

I will just give you the numbers as of today...

Garon has 20 wins in 32 games.

Lehtonen has 4 wins in 8 games.

Lehtonen would need to go on quite a tear to catch up to Garon.

i think the question was from this day onwards (meaning they start 0-0)

I like Lehtonen, but one can't argue with the team put up in front of Garon. I think Atlanta will make the playoffs, possibly even as a 6 or 7 seed as they'll go on a run, but Garon will continue piling up the wins for a strong LA team

So, in summary...Garon, but it will be close.

Kings have a much better defense, but Lehtonen is a much better goalie...

so I'd say Lehtonen will have more wins (since he started playing naturally).

Atlanta has more offensive depth, but they have horrible defense right now. Still I suspect that Lehtonen will be so much better that Atlanta will actually be close.

I think it will be really close, but if Garon keeps playing as he has lately, I'd have to go with him. However, Lehtonen should give him a run. We host Atlanta this week in LA. Hope Lehtonen's in goal against Garon. Should make for a great game.

Oh, not just much better goalie, it's much, much, much better goalie. I mean, the discrepancy is probably greater than one between Patrick Roy and Red Light Racicot...

I will give you the rest of the story.

One of those 8 games he played only one period until injured (no decision) and the other, the Ottawa game, he relieved Garnett, who got the win.

So from the other perspective.

Garon has taken the loss in 31% of the games he's played this year. Lehtonen has taken the loss in 22% of the games he's played in.

Lehtonen 1, Garon 0.

Seriously though, the question sounds too hard to predict for me.

Your splitting hairs. Garon has 2 shutouts in 32 games, while Lehtonen has 0. Obviously Garon is a shutout machine compared to Lehtonen

I will just let time prove you my point.

Never said the dífference was that huge, but yeah, I could have used a better wording.

How about "Garon is a great goalie. Lehtonen will be the biggest thing since sliced bread."

Thank you. This forward-looking statement (as contrasted to your original statement purporting to proclaim it as a fact) could very well turn out to be true, time will tell. I, for one, am quite happy with Garon for the time being.

Remember when everyone gave up on Garon in October when LaBarbera was hot? Haha. Glad to have everyone back.
