And I watched more of that video then I care to admit before realizing I had my laptop on mute. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if I'm high.

Man I hate William Hung. Not 'William Hung' the person, who is probably a decent guy that I have nothing but good wishes for. I hate the pop-culture manifestation of 'William Hung', which was essentially an awful Asian stereotype put on display for people to laugh at.

I also can't believe that Pete Hoekstra ad.

End rant.

Nice choices mzappa! Love OI.

I haven't listened to very much Gogol Bordello, but I've always found their songs good whenever I've heard them. Any album you'd recommend?

What? They're still wearing blue aren't they?

Penguins, uhg. At least now maybe the tables will turn a bit and there will be lots of our fans at their games in Pittsburgh and few of their fans at our home games! This will be a tough one for sure. Pavs isn't exactly a Penguin killer. can someone throw a bag over Malkin's head, kidnap him and convince him to defect?

Thanks mzappa. Yeah, I remember talking to a couple people who saw GB live (it was probably that same show), said it was unreal.

I went to a ****-tonne of concerts back in my teens, once 2nd year univ rolled around I got so buried with schoolwork/other "activities" in res that I completely fell out of the "concert loop", and have never really got back in. Last really good show I went to was Strung Out with A Wilhelm Scream and Comeback Kid at the Garrick in 2007, that was amazing. My best friend has dragged me to some metal shows recently (I say dragged because I'm more of a thrash guy, not really into the power metal stuff he listens to, though I'm sorta getting into it), but that's about it. Ok, enough of this wistful tangent. Keep the tunes coming!

An optimist would point out that GAA & SV% are backward-looking statistics; they mean nothing when the puck drops tomorrow. Pavelec was on fire last night and will hopefully be sharp again tomorrow.

Operation Ivy on the pre game thread? Now we're talkin'! My youth is back!!!

I saw Faith No More with the Chili Peppers around '87 or '88 in the Metroplex with about 200 other people. That was a hell of a show!

Was a huge fan back in the day. Patton on vox, Bordin on drums; they lost me when Big Jim Martin left the band though. The guitars never sounded the same or as good, at least to me.

And I just realized, I put two shows into one. SO was here in 2005 with CK and Bane, and then came in 2007 with Wilhelm Scream. Also saw them at WECC in 03, I remember that was in August, you would not believe how disgustingly hot that place gets when it's +30 outside.

This is true - this "tendency" is past performance. Unfortunately, the non-emotional part of "every coin flip has a 50% chance" of heads or tails doesn't register when it comes to a sport.

I feel better now.

Any updates on Bogo yet?
A couple different sites are reporting a foot injury (day to day). He didn't practice today and will be a game time decision tomorrow.

Hopefully he will be alright...we need all hands on deck against the Pens.

Stupid Penguin/Jets games... I hope these teams never meet up in the playoffs.

Ideally (for me), this game goes to OT/shootout.

i'll just throw in one more, fitting with Iron Mason's mask... Up the Irons!
