Not right out of camp, but by the end of the season.
I still think he will benefit the most playing a good year or 2 in the AHL. Team should be much better as of next year but maybe he gets a call up now and then, rather him then Palushaj to be honest
I hope there is someone in Montreal that can protect him, seeing him play against Boston scares me!
I can't wait to watch him against Boston. He's going to draw penalty after penalty, and get dirty goal after dirty goal. He plays a game that's going to provoke their defense into doing stupid ****.

He's the type of player that thrives against Boston.
The Bruins run away whenever you oppose an actual tough player against them. The best way to beat them is to fearlessly ignore their shanenigans and bravely score goal after goal on Timmy. We need to play the game of skill and speed, this is what made us beat them in the past. The fact Boston is much more skilled than they used to be makes it more difficult of course but I believe its still possible. Whenever the Habs tried to play physical against them we lost.
Let them have the moral victory, we'll take the wins.

Completely agree with this, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't have grit on the 4th line.
I want the habs to keep speed as its identity.
Unfortunately chances are Habs will find a way to yo-yo him from ahl and nhl next season.
Which is not necessarily a bad thing. Gallagher won't be good enough to be useful in the NHL next season (like Leblanc this year). And it would be better for his development if he spends most of the season in Hamilton. But giving him a taste of the big league when injuries happen is not a bad thing.
And even if his suprisingly good enough to be a top-6 NHLer, we're better off signing some UFA, then forcing the kid to take is spot, since in the end it also gives you more depth, something we are severly lacking the year.
To the poster who was worrying about him getting injured, this kid is a little fireball. If he's given the room to grow and put into the right roles, I see him playing a similar game to Marchand, without the dirtyness. They're both small, quick, talented players who never give up on the play. Marchand is a little ***** between whistles, but he's still a good player.
