Richards looking much, MUCH better today. Hopefully he's turned the corner.

It probably helps to not have Stoll and Penner out there with him.

He's already had more chemistry with King and Nolan than he ever had with Penner and Stoll.

Is it mike Richards role to play with the worst wing combination possible no matter where he goes?

I think I saw Dan Cloutier along with his teammates highfiving with the Kings.

Who was that backchecking on the 4-2?? Isles didn't get a shot in the last 6 minutes....looked like a good period by LA.

Are you referring to Nolan's backcheck when he broke up the play right in the slot?

My bad there, still equally impressive. Kings looking good.. They should be able to lose this one 3-2.

I doubt they score on Nabokov. He is still a legit Goalie in this league....

Kidding (Kinda)

Two goals tonight eh? You're really giving them a lot of credit.

Other than that several minute lull where the Islanders scored, the Kings played well. Same story though...can't score goals.

Looks like the same old, same old. IMO, except for occasional flashes, no sense of urgency or passion. For goodness sakes, goon it up, run the goaltender, have a fight, ANYTHING! And Mr Fox, please quit making excuses. It's the fricking Islanders. Want to see a game with some passion, watch the Rangers and Flyers for a bit.

Nolan looked nervous but had some good plays.
King I thought looked really sharp
Richards is forcing the play, for better or worse, clearly frustrated.

'Third line' was good. Lewis, Lokti, Clifford had about the best chances out of any line.

Yeah I pretty much don't care how they look and if they maintain possession for 90% of the game. If they don't score i'm not really interested in watching. They should just play in the eastern time zone the rest of the season so I can check scores before I watch or make sure I don't set aside time to watch on a weekend night.

The Kings playing like this is not going to help our drinking problems.
