Can someone tell me why the pollyannas at MSG just simply HAVE to put up a "player of the game" for the other guys, too? We don't need to see one from the other team. There are no Flyers fans watching MSG.

I guess Gaborik was getting sick of having lopsided stats. Trying to fill the assist column

Beautiful game!

And Boyle REALLY needs to learn how to fight! It's embarrassing watching someone that 6"7 getting thrown around by someone who he is twice the size of.

This is the Richards I expected to see when we signed him. More of that, please.

Getting lost in the offensive explosion is that Hank had yet another spectacular game. We were outshot by a large margin in the 2nd and he came up huge.

The Flyers are not a complete team. They are good offensively but their defense and goaltending leave a lot to be desired. Pronger would help a bit but that team would still have deficiencies. I think they miss Mike Richards' Selke-calibre defense at times, especially on the PK.

Good- big offensive guns all showed up.
Bad- Eminger?
Redden- wasting 20 games worth of powerplay goals on one game.

The Flyers are once again my most hated organization, all others fade into the background.

The offense looked smart today. Rarely flubbed passes, picked the Orange defense apart when they got the opportunity.

As for the Flyers being Pronger-less, as someone mentioned in the GDT, yep. And they might be Pronger-less forever. If they haven't been able to backfill for him yet, then they fail.

1. Callahan: Hatty for the Captain
2. Richards: THIS is why he was brought to New York. The guy is the real deal. His confidence is beaming, and he's making things happen.
3. Gaborik: The guy is a stud.

HM: Lundqvist

He's actually pretty even in career goals and assists.

The Flyers are really missing Pronger. Personally, I'd be surprised if he weren't done. Not saying its a good thing for hockey because its not but it seems to be the reality of the situation. They need to make a serious move to upgrade the defense.

Cally, Gaborik, Hank were my 3 stars. Richards was close behind.

Rangers still have 3 wins in hand---in tiebreakers, shootout wins get subtracted. (Rangers have 32 regulation and overtime wins; Bruins have 29.)

Could have been a 9-2 blowout if Bryzgalov was in net.

So many guys had great games tonight. Cally, Richards, Gabby, Hank, McD, Steps, MDZ, Girardi, Hags, Arty, Staal, Stralman and Dubi and Bickel for fighting the Philly clowns.

Damn I love watching this team! Great game of hockey, even in the 2nd, when the Flyers where dominating shots, the Rangers did a good job of keeping their goal and sticking to the plan.

1. Cally
2. Gabby
3. Lundy
Unlucky. Richards

The good: Our top 6 played like a top 6 should, they were always dangerous. Richards was unlucky he didn't have 6+ points on the night. The PP was much better, they kept it simple and the passing was crisp. With the way the Flyers were getting to the net, the D did a good job of letting Lundy see the shots, and of clearing out the rebounds. PK was excellent again.

The bad: Nothing really to see here, good team game

The Redden: The Flyers IQ. It's good for the Rangers, but they are dumb team when the pressure is on. The Rangers are so far inside their heads it's hilarious.
