No reason to think this would happen but if it did I would absolutely lose it. If the Gardiner trade wasn't bad enough this would put it over the top. Barstool better not sleep on this one.
This. I mean Gardiner was basically Cam Fowler lite. Vatanen's future is cloudy (how long it'll take for him to be ready for the NA game and whether or not he'll be effective in both ends of the ice). The whole reason we traded Jake was because (according to Murray) Schultz made him expendable.
It's going to suck big time if that just goes to waste.
The chances of happening it are very slim, Schultz seems to want to come to Anaheim and is looking forward to play the the franchise from what I've read.
But we all know what happened last time someone refused our ELC, we just re-drafted the ****
Dreger said he will be up with the ducks as soon as wisconsins season is over to burn one year of his ELC he'll probably be up when we have about 15 games left.

Mark my words! Justin will open a lot of eyes when he comes here. His game is so smart and it is made for the new NHL. Once he addes 15-20 lbs he will be a force. I've him much higher as Vatanen! I don't expect a Fowler rookie season next year but I can see him putting up 30 pts. What I like most, he is right shot and has a great one as well. After the depature of Vish Schultz will be the trigger man on the point. I def. see him being that good.

It was rumored by Murray that he will be up this season, nothing new from my standpoint.
My questions is bringing in Schultz who do we send down? Or who do we look to trade?
I don't! That could be a really bad line. Turnover massacre, atleast pair Schultz with Vish or Beach and give the kid a chance to learn something sheesh!
Schultz is so damn good if he was a little bigger i think people would peg him as a future no.1. One thing is for sure, he has high skill level, and is SMART I am very excited to see him up here
actually Scott Valentine, who signed with the preds instead.
Tim Brent. Drafted in the 2nd in 02, refused to come to terms after his junior career was up and re-entered the 04 draft. He was taken in the 3rd round and signed shortly there after. Waste of two draft picks.

There's a silent agreement between GMs not to draft anyone re-entering higher than they were drafted before. Or so it seems.
We need a nasty dman in this lineup, one that is bigger than Sbisa, and throw him with Shultz. Barrett Jackman would be a great partner for him next year.

You think putting Schultz with Visnovsky will result in -less- turnovers? Lubo is really the last person we want Schultz paired with. Not to mention you'd be putting Schultz into a top 4 role. Let the kid get his feet wet before you feed him to the wolves.
I'm personally feel the further Lydman gets from that shoulder surgery the more like last year's player he'll become.
That's what I thought initially because his game to seemed to be picking back up. However last 5 games he's kind of came back to earth IMO. Better then he was to start the year, but worse then last year.

He's a complementary type player who needs the other guy to be the main PMD to really shine IMO. He's with Brookbank.

I realize that, but his defensive game was solid all around last year. This year he's not at that level. He was starting to come around for a few games, but I don't think he's close to last year's level. I don't doubt that he will improve but I'm not convinced he will ever be at last year's level. He would be a solid partner for Schultz though.

Yeah pairing Schultz with Lubo wouldn't be a mess defensively at all.
