I like how people are getting excited... listen it's fun winning, but the truth is we've faced weak teams/performances aside from Pittsburgh which we barely won.

All season we have had one part of our team playing well, while the others were not playing well. Lately, things are beginning to click at the same time. So that argument doesnt hold much ground. This is a team playing for pride and playing for each other. This isnt a mirage, but good team chemistry.

Only thing missing is someone to set up our powerplay on the wall better.

Regardless, I still do not think we will make the playoffs.

Go Habs go.

p.s miss Gionta

question is What Now? It would be a big piss off to go on a win streak and finish 9 th.

only 7 points meaning we have to win only 4 more games then the leafs. Or the same amount as long as beat them in the last 2 matchups vs them.

Price is on fire again and when he plays like this we can beat anyone.

Also great to see Pacman scoring so consistently. The more I see him the more I like him. Him Price and PK... great trio to build around.
I can only remember 2 or 3 big saves by Price. So basically no matter who was in net we would have won. They weren't all over us they had a bunch of crap shots. Give the team some credit tank lord

Before the game I said to my brother in law, I don't give a crap, i'm rooting for the Habs tonight. It's Habs vs Leafs, no way i'm not gonna have a good time having my team score.

But now let's go back to tanking shall we?

7 games between now and the deadline, regardless of how they do, get something for Gill/Campoli and get something for AK/Moen if they aren't going to be re-signed.

Team played well man, but Price was amazing in the first half when we were outplayed. Full credit to the team, we scored 5 goals dude... not trying to undermine that effort, just saying the Price fully earned that 1st star tonight.

And don't forget about all the games we barely lost, or where our opponents faced a weak performance from the Habs.

our PP has just been a big let down this year

if it was better even a little bit like 20th it would make a difference

The real unsung hero today is Mr.coolasprICE who delivered one of, if not THE best anti-jinx I've ever seen. But in all seriousness, Mathieu ****ing Darche is playing some unreal hockey of late and for that my hat goes off to him

Everything about this game was beautiful, minus the Lucic-esque goonery from one Mike Brown, but that's to be expected. Eller blowing by Phaneuf was the centerpiece to the proverbial "**** you" that the team hand-delivered to Leafs' Nation on this oh so glorious Mats Sundin night. All that was missing was another Gomez goal

7 points back with 26 left to be played. This season ain't quite done yet

So I went out tonight for my sister's birthday.

Missed this pwnz0rage of the leafs on Sundin night.

Bleh. (but I wuv my sis, she's awesome, even though she hates Hockey)

Anyhow, Carey's stats on the last 4 games are 4-0-0, .967, 0.98 GAA.

Scarey

Price has been playing up to his potential in the past few games.
Results: 4 straight wins!

Now where are all those people always blaming the team and not allowing Price to take a share of the blame. The team has definitely been playing better as well though so we have to acknowledge that. Price is playing very well right now and if he's been playing that way the whole year, we would be in 6th place right now.

This team is a lot better than their win record shows. I've kept waiting for them to turn the corner and I think they might just be finally getting there.
If you read the blog Backhand Shelf on The Score (some great things there if you like advanced stats and analysis), Cam Charron (not even a Habs fan so no homer) always does articles on the habs and he seems to find our season absolutely fascinating. Wich is true, that team is probably the most awesomely weird thing to follow to anyone who's into stats and doesn't actually care that much on about the team. Personally, as someone who's only begginning to get it, well this year is a great one to learn.

The team competes hard in front of him at moment unlike it has been the case for the most part of the season, thats the difference.. Price cant do all alone, no goaltender in the league can succeed without a solid structure in front, what we are starting to see..

Since their 7-2-1 start, the leafs have gone 21-20-5 since then.
