And that's the record with the bad start under Cunneyworth.

The habs haven't been nearly as bad as their record states.

Don't look now but Pacioretty is now tied for 13th in the NHL for scoring.

Now on pace for 36 goals!!!

I was there tonight. Great to see the Leafs get smoked. I haven't been to a game since The Forum was around and Roy was playing, so it was a treat.

All I have to say is Leaf fans are a real quiet bunch. From the first puck drop it was a snooze fest with the fans. Also pretty disgusted with people clearing out with 10 min. to go. Spoiled rich people everywhere.

Great game from the Canadiens. I appreciated the win so much more due to the drought between seeing games.

What a night!

That's not the point. Once we face a handful of good teams (look at the schedule), we're gonna get our rears handed to us and the playoff dreams are crushed. Yes I'm a downer right now but I don't like false hope.

When Pleks plays well, the entire team plays well. He's just gotta play well more often

Wich is true, that team is probably the most awesomely weird thing to follow to anyone who's into stats and doesn't actually care that much on about the team. Personally, as someone who's only begginning to get it, well this year is a great one to learn.
This team is weird. Forget the W-L record for a second. Take all the stats of this team and you probably guess they are top 8 easily. WEIRD.

I hate the Canadiens, unconditionally. But i thank you from the bottom of my heart for making Sundin look like the putz that he is. A good portion of Leaf fans hate that guy, yet had to watch that travesty take place. Here's hoping that you never beat the Leafs ever again, and wishing you a 12th pick in the draft.

And you hate the very talented and classy guy who is your franchise's top scorer because...
he didn't fight enough?

Stay off the glue.

No, it doesn't really mean that. Since the walk out the 8th placed team got in with 93, 88, 93, 94, 92 and 92 points. One can think it would be the same this year. So we should look at accumulating at least 92, 93 points but to be on the safe side 94 points.

Forget about having to leapfrog over other teams. That's BS. Keep your attention on the point total. We have 55 points in 56 games.

We need 39, maybe 38 more points and we have 26 games left. That's a clip of 19-6-1, maybe 19-7-0.

Do you think this team can do it? If they play like they have the last 4. It looks doable. If they play like the 3 games after the all star it looks like a pipe dream.

Loved the win last night. Beating the Leafs is always enjoyable. Beating the snot out of them on a night where they honour one of their greats is even more enjoyable.

PK -has- to stop with the slewfooting though. I know last night wasn't an all out slewfoot, but it was close. It just -has- to end.

Agreed, however, Mats Sundin's wife was better.

You hate the only non-mediocre player your team has had in a decade or so? Good for you...

Do you hate Kessel too? I bet you like Phaneuf tho

There are Leafs fans that actually hate Sundin? I guess it's the no trade clause thing.

I'm not sure we can really judge considering how Habs fans treated Koivu.

Sundin was the better player of the two, but he didn't have to deal with all the things Saku did.

Anyone else hear Healy's comment early in the first period?

"The Canadiens are terrified of Toronto's speed up front."

Terrified? Wow, what a thing to say.

Terrible comment. Nice win.

Sundin and koivu were put in similar situations. Both star players who were surrounded with garbage their whole careers. I immediatly lose respect for anyone who rips on either. Sundin had every right to not waive, it wasn't his job to rebuild a team too inept to do it themselves.
