Dubinsky-Boyle-Prust was just an incredible line today.

Hank was himself as usual, Richards looks like a totally different player, and McDonagh was great.

Solid backtoback wins.

1. Dubi-Boyle-Prust
2. Hank
3. McD
HM. Richie/Cally/Gabby

Agreed that they looked really fatigued in the 3rd.

He talked about school sometimes maybe something to do with that. I was wondering the same thing.

Weird just disappearing like that especially since he was into it with the PGT.

Maybe he changed his name and went anonymous.

Captain Cally
Hank
McD
Good win against a desperate team on the 2nd game of back to back, Hank saved the bacon at the end, thought Cally could have had another hat trick

Our top 6 is in an entirely different gear right now. Hope it lasts. Gabby's been good all season but he's flying, Richie looks elite, and Cally is just scoring goals for breakfast.

A Caps fan said that the second Rangers goal shouldn't have counted, anyone know the reason?

Bias.

There was no contact in the goal crease.

Two solid games in a row. Hopefully this means they're out of their funk. Great effort today!

What was with the PP? They finally found something that works; Richards up high with a D man, quick passes, and then they go back to playing 2 D men. Weird...

We are now double true .500.

36 wins, 13 losses, 5 Ot/SO L

28 games to get 14 wins for 50 overall which was my ideal target this season, but certainly nothing to suggest that they couldn't surpass that.

Still on pace to shatter records for least (adjusted) goals against in a season.

Well, here's my 2 cents...

Rangers started off very quiet which resulted in the Caps having the better chances. That always happens in the 2nd of b2b games so nothing to be ashamed off. In the end the sheer willingness to bang bodies and block shots is what got us the W.

McD was phenomenal together with Girardi and the goal by McD is the highlight of my weekend. Man o man, where does it end with this guy?

The good: The Prust-line, McD and Girardi's header
The bad: Eminger and Staal still need to get back to their old selves.
The Redden: The nerve-wrecking final seconds

Pretty sure he finished up school this past fall/winter semester. Maybe this one is his last, either way I am sure he is really busy with that.

PoTG: Prust-Boyle-Dubinsky was amazing. What a showing from these guys.

Good: Hank, McD/Girardi, Staal getting his 1st point, everyone else.

Bad:

Redden: Carlson and Semin scoring on us every game.

First time this season where I personally felt they played very good in 2 consecutive games, not to mention these 2 were less then 24 hours apart. They had some bad stretched, but they looked very very good otherwise.

Keep this streak going. Kreider show tomorrow, Rangers Tuesday.

When 6-1-1 is a funk...you know you have a good team.

For all the doctors on the board (including me)
Andrew Gross @AGrossRecord
McDonagh says his left knee is fine. Just a "tweak." Wasn't worried. Says it happens about once a season.

Honestly, I don't know why that's "true" .500. The Rangers lost 4 out of those 5 in the shootout. Those would have been ties pre-lockout. Granted they also won 3 in a shootout.

Richie on Cally before game, we all see the desperation in the way he plays, the effort, the leadership, he inspires us all
