No, that would actually make this season worth it if we could draft Nail.

Rock bottom is going to be picking 9th-14th again because we pick it up again and look like we might make it, and then fall flat on our ***** again at the last minute and place 9th in the conference.

and the **** or get of the pot OR BOTH continues with this organization,

i've said it and will say it again, if you want character and heart etc you don't reward selfishness i get zidz is pissed he didn't get to play but there is a way to do it and a way not to do it. Zidz chose the wrong way, he went to media before team he complained about his role and his lack of play and HE GOT HIS WISH.

that is my point of the way Yeo sank the Wild he decided that Character and Accountability are not worth it and rewarded a guy who went to the media to voice his concern.

you can't tell me that watching this team get bent over by CBJ twice in 5 days isn't because we aren't good enough, we played with out any urgency any fight, yes we got a tone of shots last night but very little net presence.

We have to sid Zidz it might be too late to salvage the year but step 1 is sitting his ass full time.

Patience is a virtue...Now isn't the time to jump ship on the team, coach, and GM that we were all just praising 2 short months ago. We are still recovering from having all of our past draft picks not pan out. Our prospect pool has been revamped. Things aren't just gonna turn around in one season, let alone half a season.

Rome wasn't built in a day. There are going to be bumps in the road. Always have, always will. Doesn't help that injuries haven't been on our side.

I still think it was the Bouchard injury that killed the season.

Wait what? You are talking logically and making sense to us. Stop that! Can't you see we are in the midst of a meltdown!

Actually - you touched on a subject that we as fans HAVE to remember. This team is missing 5 straight 1st round picks (2004 - 2008) (Thanks DR!! ). NONE of those picks provided any benefit to this team. On top of that, only THREE players drafted since 2004 have seen any regular ice time with the Wild (Stoner, Clutterbuck & Falk).

It is commonly thought that it takes 3-4 years before you will see rewards reaped from draft picks in the NHL. When you consider that only 3 of those 28 picks (2004 - 2008) are helping the Wild currently its pretty obvious why this team is struggling.

DR built this hole for the Wild over multiple years, so we HAVE to give Fletch multiple years to start and show some improvements. And I think most everyone would say that our prospect pool Appears to have the most potential of any prospect pool the Wild have had since 2003.

2014, we ought to be a damn competitive team.

until then, we have to have patience.

To add to that DR also let his best draft pick(Gaborik) walk instead of getting anything at all of value when it was pretty clear he did not want to stay.

Good point - without Butch there is no secondary scoring, and the PP is in the dumper.

Well then we can rename that FirstRoundBust site to FirstPickBust

And at least we would have had a first overall pick. We've NEVER picked first overall.
