Haha, I said that the other day. What an ugly scenario.

The only positive is that maybe these guys are pissed about how the trip has been going and abuse Dallas for it. Crossing my fingers...

Having guys like Kane, Hossa, Sharp, Bolland in the top 6 and guys like Ladd, Byfuglien, Versteeg, Brouwer (some play now on top lines) on 3-4 lines didn't help I guess?

The plane ride from east to west is less exhausting tho.
But it's still gonna be a tough cookie for the team to win this game, especially against a trap playing Dallas team.

Of course they helped, but when the leader of the team is a 21 year old kid who got his name on the Cup after three seasons in the NHL and was named captain over a number of older players on the roster goes to show you how much leadership the kid has.

What has Dustin Brown led the Kings to in his eight seasons with the team? The same applies for Kopitar. These two are supposed to be the guys who lead the charge and are considered to be the faces of this franchise, yet they haven't achieved much in their personal and team accolades.

The problem isn't necessarily just them, but it is this idea that Dean Lombardi has implanted in some people's heads that they're still young and going to get better. Dustin Brown is 27, turns 28 later this year, Kopitar is 24, turning 25 later this year. How much better are they going to get compared to what we've already seen of them?

Lombardi has continuously said that in order for the team to get better, those players have to get better. So when are we going to expect that to happen? And if they aren't getting better, than isn't that admitting that they are not capable of leading this team to success? The leaders of this team have to be held accountable.

Pretty much

Chicago goes as Toews goes. Toews has not been producing during their losing streak(he is 0G 2A -3).

And that is one Big reason they continue to lose. Toews needs to show up.

I think a bigger problem for them has been Patrick Kane, as well as their goaltending. Chicago has dearly missed Patrick Sharp as well.

2 players don't win you the cup. Remember the Gretzky Kings or the Triple Crown line Kings, hell the Palffy team?. Remember the CHI-DET finals - can you remember what offensive Toews had to show for? The guys I mentioned had a huge impact to the fact that CHI won the cup. Have you seen the last years CHI and Toews regular season and playoff performance, and the Toews led Blackhawks have 2 more points right now then the Kings - not really impressive, eh?

Now look at this.
Toews is currently on a 4 games pointless streak and a 7 games goalless streak. To date he didn't record a point in 20 games (out of 55 games played) this season.

Kopitar highest pointless streak this season is a 3 game pointless streak in november. He had a 17games goalless drought. To date he didn't record a point in 20 games (out of 56 games played).

The Blackhawks scored 54 more goals then the Kings but gave up 49 more goals then the Kings.

Jonathan Toews is curently not the biggest point producer in CHI as Hossa has one more point then him to date. Kopitar leads the Kings in points by a 11 point margin.

When your wingers can't score and you are one of the best defensive teams I suspect coaching issue and a supporting players issue might be the difference. The Blackhawks haven't showed up defensively whilest Kings didn't offensively - and the 2 point difference is where you end up.
