A big, fast and skilled guy, consistent and smart. Could be the first homegrown talent to score more than 30 goals in years. It's not a fluke anymore he's been producing like this for a year, it's like he stole all of Gomez's goals
All of this when we were even uncertain of his future in general a few months ago.
I pulled this little doosy out of the predictions thread from the beginning of the season. I was wrong about a lot of things, particularly that whole Subban and Cammalleri number, but I'm looking pretty good for predicting 30+ for Patches
His hockey is 100x better than 2 years ago, that's for sure. Just to play devil's advocate, he seems to have lost the aggressiveness in his game since he started playing with Cole. I hope it's a temporary thing.
Didn't know he was doing that well, great to see though! I'm hoping he can manage to hit 35 by the end of the season, I know it's tough but 12 goals in 27 games should be do-able.

You seem to have nailed a few, though. Many would have scoffed (and still do) at Eller scoring 15. Good call. Maybe a bit low on DD, but nobody could have predicted how the cole/DD/Pax line would heat up. Still a good projection, though, considering you took it into account that Markov would be present.

It'll be fun to revisit those threads at the end of the year, you're closer so far than I am.
Definitely and incredible year for Patches. So good to see this kid develop into a top scoring winger. I remember last year right before the Chara hit he was on fire as well. I only see him getting better. Such good chemistry on that line.

Well, the only things that have stopped him when he's producing like this have been:
1.) Almost dying
2.) 3 game suspension
So we really don't know how long his "streaks" typically last, or if they're even streaks at all. Maybe he just scores like this. Nothing flashy, he just flat-out scores goals.
If he does get that same aggressiveness back, he's very very hard to stop. It'll come back. Cole was tentative after the Orpik hit too. By next year, Patches will be a mix of what he is now, with the same reckless, full-steam-ahead speed he was playing with before the Chara incident.

it's been non-existent so to speak since his suspension.

Who cares if he lost the aggressiveness? If he keeps scoring goals like this, it shouldn't mind.
