Habs remaining schedule in Feb

Perdictions
MON, 13 FEB 2012 HURRICANES win
WED, 15 FEB 2012 BRUINS ot
FRI, 17 FEB 2012 SABRES win
SUN, 19 FEB 2012 DEVILS win
TUE, 21 FEB 2012 STARS win
FRI, 24 FEB 2012 CAPITALS lose
SUN, 26 FEB 2012 PANTHERS win
TUE, 28 FEB 2012 LIGHTNING win

If we keep playing like this we should be able to get points in all of these games, only the Caps game IMO is really tough, We make or break right here.

Win most of the remaianing games in regulation time and get points from as many of the losses as possible. A win against the Bruins or Stars isn't as valuable as a win against Toronto, Buffalo, Ottawa, Islanders, New Jersey, Winnipeg, Washington, Tampa, Florida, or Carolina

If they go 6-2 they'll be right back in the thick of things. That'd sure be nice.

Go Habs Go!

Sucks to be a realist and know they aren't making the playoffs. Shame on me.

Yeah if they lose all their games like you hope they do for sure they won't make it.
However if they keep winning games they still have a chance. A 6-2 record in the next 8 is not impossible or all that unlikely. If they can put that together they won't be anymore than 3 points out.

Jeez with 'fans' like you who needs enemies.

Ya ya. I should cheer for another team too. Look at the trend. I don't believe well go 6-2 and even if we do we can still be outside looking in. I want what's best for the team, if you perceive 9-10th place as good then sure, that's your opinion, I have my own. Odds are habs go 4-3-1 or maybe 3-4-1. Just to tease us.

The bottom line is that we need to win 80% of our remaining games to have a chance at the 7th or 8th seed(s).

I hate to say it, but same here. I simply don't want to fail to make the playoffs by a couple of points and end up with another pick in the middle of the first round.

Totally agree and been saying this for a while now, finishing 9th or 10th will make this season even worse then it actually could have been. If they are going to keep winning I have no problem but then they gotta get in. If we miss this season will be a real disaster

It's pretty obvious we're not picking first or second so I don't see why everyone wants to tank so bad.. It's not like this is a wild draft after the first two. I'd rather players like Pacioretty, Price, Subban and Eller end on a high note to build off something for next year.. I think their development is more important than losing lol.

I love the mini-dramas of each individual game, but I've accepted that we're almost certainly NOT making the playoffs. This season is likely done in April, at which point all these individual games disappear into nothingness. The best thing that could come out of 2011/12 would be a high draft pick.

So as much as I enjoy the moment each time we win, I'd be happier watching us work out the kinks, give the young guys experience, lose a few more and end up drafting a future star. My perfect scenario: Losing 25 games by a score of 1-0. Winning against Boston by a score of 26-0.
