Celtic:

During pregame. Pretty much he said, any move would have to have even salaries because of the budget. He won't do a forward for defenseman or vice versa because it will just make another hole on the other side, so no Stewart-Jack Johnson type deal, until the offseason. He didn't say that no moves will be made though. Seemed very political. Prospects and non-roster players were not mentioned, so pretty much anything can happen, outside of what he said won't happen IMO.

Sounds to me that he isn't looking for a trade, but if one he likes is offered, then he'll take it, assuming it makes sense. Also, I think we can just keep the GDT and don't really need this. No need to add more threads if we don't need to. My $.02

Sobotka nails Joe Thornton
Pietrangelo gets two goals and plays amazingly well
Halak gets a shutout
Game ends 3-0

Just another boring Blues game

Keep it easier for people that are just showing up or for the guys who were at the game. Going through 15 pages just to "catch up" can put some people off.

Petro will at least be a finalist for the Norris this year. Not saying he will win it, but he deserves to be a finalist.

Anywho, I'll probably be around some more. I'm always looking for teams to follow besides the Jets and I'm digging the Blues this year.

John Kelly said he thought it was Petro's most impressive game ever.

He might be right. Dominant is all you can say about his game tonight.

EDIT: Anyone who posts Sean Bean should be welcomed with open arms

Thanks!

I think that confirms what a few of us thought. It does make a lot of sense though. My take is that it will be harder to make trades because of these stipulations. Gonna be hard to make upgrades when taking on the same amount of salary and basically swapping players of the exact same position.

Man... glad I watched that game. It was so boring, I can sleep beautifully tonight.

Glad for the win... honestly, surprised by it. I was sure we would lose tonight due to last nights high intensity performance. Love being surprised!

Yep. Hard to make a deal, but also it kind of contradicts some of the reports that we won't make a deal. Army will look to find upgrades. There are cheap rentals out there. Parise probably won't happen, but that doesn't mean he won't make a deal.

Good. We're always glad to welcome new fans, whether they're new to the NHL, returning fans, or fans looking for a second team.

Laughing so hard reading the Sharks GDT. Honestly never seen more ref whining and excuse making in my life

Great win tonight. Playing this well on the second half of a back to back against a top team in the West. And they won it pretty easily too. Very impressive.

I love the guy on the Sharks board that is saying we set our ice up to be bad on purpose so stretch passes can't beat our "Trap". Where do they come up with this stuff?

Yeah the guy who said we intentionally set up the ice to stop teams from beating the trap is hilarious.

Feels great to get another big win tonight!! Funny how Sharks fans react. I went over to their board and all I see is comments of how they would crush us in a seven game series. How boring we are and the trap is boring. Kind of upsets me. Even beating a team 3 0 I guess still isn't enough for their fans to take us serious. Apparently our game wont work in the playoffs against San Jose lmao. I really hope we do get to play them in the playoffs. Halak doesn't seem to scared of them.

Yeah I like how they say that this is the reason the Blues have the record they do at home. Fail
