Maybe 10% of these guys have actual insider knowledge.
9% of that 10% (and I include actual TSN insiders and such in that 10%) don't actually know what's going on behind the scenes in that organization because most of that stuff is pretty closely guarded.
Do you honestly believe organizations that won't tell reporters where on the body a specific player is injured are going to allow their trade and draft talks slip to outsiders if they're meaningful in any way?
And the 1% of people that do actually know what's going on behind the scenes will not tell people en masse about it even if they tell a few of their friends because it would mean losing their sources or even worse.
Yes. Both teams have to acknowledge the injury and agree that the player being traded is injured, what his injury is and his prognosis before it goes through, but injured players can be traded.
When the Flyers traded Pat Falloon and Vaclav Prospal for Alexandre Daigle, Vinny had a broken wrist. More recently, the Kings and Oilers had an injured player traded, involved in the Ryan Smyth deal
a buddy of mine had an intresting hypothesis about jvr:
since the organization is relying largely on jvr to tell them when he is symptom free, and since there is no way to dispute him if he says he is experiencing head aches and other cuncussion related issues after a day of practice or training, that jvr may be using this cuncussion to his advatage as his own personal no movement clause. what better way to insure you won't be traded at the deadline? no team will take a chance on a player with post cuncussion symptoms. just my friends theory, thought i'd post it...

not to be a jerk, but I'm sure your buddy isnt the only person that thinks that
Has JVR even been on the block this season? I doubt it. I don't think he would delay coming back just because some Leaf fans created rumors on the internet. They are meaningless.
hahahaha i didn't even see that some one posted basically the same thing two posts before mine!!! at least i can tell my friend he's def not onhis own in thinking that jvr might just trying to be avoiding being traded!
