Maybe 10% of these guys have actual insider knowledge.

9% of that 10% (and I include actual TSN insiders and such in that 10%) don't actually know what's going on behind the scenes in that organization because most of that stuff is pretty closely guarded.

Do you honestly believe organizations that won't tell reporters where on the body a specific player is injured are going to allow their trade and draft talks slip to outsiders if they're meaningful in any way?

And the 1% of people that do actually know what's going on behind the scenes will not tell people en masse about it even if they tell a few of their friends because it would mean losing their sources or even worse.

JVR , battling post-concussion syndrome, says he still feels like he is in a fog. He isn't likely to return for a while. #Flyers

It wasnt the hit that caused him the problems, it was the fact that he played the next 3 games before experiencing symptoms.

If the team had sat him down and the symptoms developed, they would have sat him for 5 games and he might be playing for us right now.

This concussion is similar to Crosby's first concussion. He got it and kept playing.

Schenn also had a slow recovery but is playing well now. So there is still hope he will return and play well this season.

Pretty ****** season for him so far though...the beginning of a star that never was? Just trolling a little bit

Yes. Both teams have to acknowledge the injury and agree that the player being traded is injured, what his injury is and his prognosis before it goes through, but injured players can be traded.

When the Flyers traded Pat Falloon and Vaclav Prospal for Alexandre Daigle, Vinny had a broken wrist. More recently, the Kings and Oilers had an injured player traded, involved in the Ryan Smyth deal

Any update here? Haven't heard anything in a couple days. Possible he's taking this long because he doesn't want to be traded?

He is learning how to play D. I mean he has size scouts want, he has slap shot, speed. He just needs to be more agressive.

a buddy of mine had an intresting hypothesis about jvr:

since the organization is relying largely on jvr to tell them when he is symptom free, and since there is no way to dispute him if he says he is experiencing head aches and other cuncussion related issues after a day of practice or training, that jvr may be using this cuncussion to his advatage as his own personal no movement clause. what better way to insure you won't be traded at the deadline? no team will take a chance on a player with post cuncussion symptoms. just my friends theory, thought i'd post it...

Has JVR even been on the block this season? I doubt it. I don't think he would delay coming back just because some Leaf fans created rumors on the internet. They are meaningless.

Tim P. says that JVR is wearing a regular practice jersey today.

Jagr has/had the flu, not practicing.

Voracek has a no-contact jersey.

From Randy Miller:

Quote:
JVR practicing, too, but he's not wearing non-contact jersey.

Is Timmy P 100% sure this time?

Double negative aside, seems like JVR is wearing a regular practice jersey.

And Sam @ Inq.

At #Flyers' practice, Voracek in non-contact jersey, JVR in regular jersey.

So 5 days ago JVR was "in a fog" and "not likely to return for a while."

Now, Jagr and Voracek are out, and JVR goes from not even practicing to fully participating in practice?

Color me skeptical.
