Build your second line

I think its time for RC to build a real 2nd line and leave it for more than 5 games to build a chemistry. We cannot play with one real offensive line. Its also time to give Plekanec real wingers. Also, Gomez should NOT play center for us, he's ****ing terrible and his passes are impossible to make a play with. Even Leblanc is 10 time better than him already.

I'd like to see this.

Pac-DD-Cole
Bourque-Plekanec-AK
Moen-Eller-Darche
Gomez-Leblanc-White

After seeing the treatment he got tonight, I kinda hope that AK is on his way out. I'm fully aware that he was soft out there in his first couple of shifts but I don't know how many vets would be used only 4 mins even though they've been struggling in their past few games. If history can teach us anything, it's that AK doesn't like these kind of wake up calls and that he needs to play to build of confidence back.

I'm not sure he's part of the solution in Montreal anymore, even as a secondary option playing with Eller and whoever on the third line. But if you keep him, keep him far from Gomez even if they like each other.

At this point, I really don't mind we trade AK. I like the guy, I don't think he's lazy or not care about this team. I've seen him with a big smile and jump out of joy after the Habs score a goal but I don't think the organization appreciate him.

He makes a couple of mistake and he will pay for it. Karberle tonight "cost" us the game because of extreme soft play on that shorthanded goal. Gomez is just as bad, or even worst than AK tonight but RC still give Gomez a chance to produce by putting him on every single PP. AK who has shown this season that he can be useful on the PP but he didn't get a second of PP tonight I think. I wouldn't be surprise that AK has the best goal/time ratio on PP.

Team doesn't like him. Fans don't like him. I think for its time to part ways with him.

Replace the second DD with Eller and the second Pleks with "toughness" and we got a great team there.

Just put AK there. I don't understand how we wasted our offensive depth this year.

Bourque - Pleks - Leblanc
AK - Eller - White

However we'll likely see our powerplay specialist Scott Gomez moved up to the second line before Leblanc or AK get moved there.

Cole-Desharnais-Pacioretty
Gionta-Plekanec-Bourque
Kostitsyn-Eller-Leblanc
Moen-White-Blunden

This is if the Habs retain both Moen and Kostitsyn, and bury Gomez in the AHL.

2nd line: Plecks centering Bourque and a more offensive-minded creative type, I'd be tempted to use Leblanc here. Let Bourque do the dirty crashing, Plecks the overall ctr play with his excellent defensive responsibility, let Leblanc create & learn. Can almost end up interchangeable with the DD line, no probs letting Plecks take the critical faceoffs as well with some offense on his wings.

3rd I'd go to Eller-AK-Moen (or Darche I guess), another good looking two-way line.

4th is heavy crash and bang, White anchors it with Darche, Moen, Blunden, etc. Notice no #11...dans les gradins, crisse comme ces hot dogs sont bons...
