I'm sure Schneider had some part in that line getting some points on the board since the PP went crazy after that iirc.

Very true. Schneider might have saved that season.

Plek-Ak-Cammy was just as good..

And the Plek-Kovy-AK was better..

You really don't have a good memory.

They look great and are very exciting to watch play. But I don't think they're a legit 1st line. In an ideal world, they would be an awesome 2nd line.

When, for more than a decade, "good" is being almost close to 1 ppg for a few games, memory is useless.

Actually, it makes you suffer.

Just enjoy the latest month flavor!

Kovalev-Plekanec-Kostitsyn was better but it's closer than you think

AK27/Plek/AK46: 206 pts, 113 ES pts, +48, 222 hits

Cole/DD/Pacs: 110 pts, 83 ES pts, +22, 191 hits

The Kovalev line had Markov on the PP, the Cole one didn't. Cole/Desharnais/Pacioretty are on pace for more ES pts and more hits.

Still taking the Kovy line but it's closer than you guys think.

Think about what continent every player you speak of is from except one, and then think about the topic creator.

They keep racking pts...

At least something fun to watch this season.

112 pts, 85 ES pts

The even strength total is really impressive...

The Sedins line have 93 ES pts just to give you an idea.

i won't lie to you but, i had a nightmare last night.

a horrible nightmare....

i was dreaming that gauthier had traded desharnais to philadelphia for a guy named LaPyle. i remember being so angry i joined the philly board out of protest.

when i woke up, i actually double checked the habs board to make sure it didn't happen. and i googled LaPyle.

thankfully, neither happened

What makes this all the more impressive is that this line consists of a 23 year old who is just coming into his own (MP), and a veteran of exactly 100 NHL games (DD). Both of these two have plenty of realistic room for improvement and Cole is primed for his peak career production.

A little update:

AK27/Plek/AK46: 206 pts, 113 ES pts, +48, 222 hits

Cole/DD/Pacs: 126 pts, 93 ES pts, +18, 221 hits

They are amazing to watch!!!

The ATAK line was the best. Hands down.

Not only did they score. They scored beautiful goal after beautiful goal.

Best line in 3 years. Since the AK-Plek-Ak line

46-14-27 was better that season because they actually had a PP QB to help them.

The reason we suck this year is blown leads and the PP.

The Cole-DD-Patch line has a lot more heart then the 46-14-27 line. You know that you can count on the DD line anytime including the playoff. That 46-14-27 line all but dissapeared in the playoff...

How can you say that when you dont know how max pac would play in a playoff and desharnais?

Didn't Ruchinsky also play with them? Or was it Zubrus I forget. Anyhow this is a north south line with a small skilled center, very different styles.

Kovalev alone has 3 times more playoff points with the Habs than Cole has in his entire career. Plekanec has 2x more playoff points than Cole in only 4 more games. Even Kostitsyn has a better playoff record than Cole (5 more points, 2 less games played).

Pacioretty and Desharnais have yet to see a playoff game. I'm sure they will do fine but there is no basis in saying they will be superior to these guys. Kovalev was a playoff man-beast, I'm not sure Pacioretty can do what he did consistantly and Cole&Desharnais likely never will.

Just stop quoting Patof i dont want to hear of him.

Must hurt seeing AK on the best line in 10-15 years

ATAK was the best hockey I ever saw. Highlights reel goals after Highlights reel goals.

if this is our top line or best line , we are FKED BIG TIME if you want to compete for anything

Cole is 34 not 24 so he is not in our long term plans

the midget is a filler on 25 other teams but plays for a bad team like us

Max is the only legit player I can work with moving forward

remember folks its about winning something , not just stats

look how the Flyers ripped off the Kings and Jackets in the Carter /Richards trades

2 players who have seen thier best days , its all about timing and making theright moves

too bad our retarded GM might be a buyer in 2 weeks when he should be selling
