Maybe i'm mistaking Murray with Aaron Downey i know one of the two was the worst player a team could have.
G. Murray was as bad as it gets.
Campoli needs to be in top 10.
BGL wasn't that bad. He's a enforcer with big back problems...
How can you not like BGL...Just go look at vid of Lucic running away scared when he was on the ice and u'll love him!

For me a certain Jozef Balej comes to mind. I had high hopes for him!

Patrick Traverse will always be the worst Hab of recent times in my eyes. Not only was he a terrible NHL player, but he also got 20+ minutes of ice time on a regular basis. He somehow inflicted his horribleness on us for more than 100 games.

I don't mind BGL as a TV analyst, but he was utterly useless with the Habs!

Of course. The guy was jumping on the ice when he wanted and played as many seconds as he wanted...

Ok it's back to the 80s but I never saw a Canadiens' player as bad as Normand Baron. Yes he was supposed to be a goon so you expect bad hockey skills but he couldn't fight either! Just horrible all around.

I was always frustrated with Sylvain Turgeon. We gave up Claude Lemieux for a guy who scored 15 goals in 75 games over 2 years. He scored 40 goals as a rookie FFS with Hartford.

Perhaps a bit of hyperbole was used, but in my defense, Greg Stewart was about the 10th useless enforcer brought in by the Habs in recent years that couldn't even enforce and had little to no hockey skills. Pure garbage and a waste of time and effort. But he hit a Leaf in his first game so he was awesome, right? The whole point is my list of uselessness had a pile of useless enforcers on it, none of which could actually play hockey.

He was awful, but I still think Sylvain Blouin wins. I'm not sure he even wore skates. And I still despise both Cummins and Vuckota, but they actually stuck in the league for a while.

Don't want to quote myself, but I would like to nominate Reid Simpson as the most forgettable player to make it into 25 games for the Habs since the '93 cup win. The very fact that no one else has mentioned him backs up that notion. He wore # 39 I think? Come on, admit it, you don't remember this guy at all, and had to look it up to see he actually did play for the Habs.

Normand Baron was probably the worst player to ever don a Habs' jersey. But his reign at the bottom was short-lived.

In terms of horrible players that didn't have the sense to go away, I nominate Patrick Traverse.

Witehall came to my mind at first.

And then Randy Mckay.

But lets never forget Laraque... 40 games without a shot!!!

While most of the actually top 10 listed are decent choices, a number of the honorable mentions should not be there.

Sebastien Bordeleau, Valeri Bure, Pat Jablonski, Darren Langdon, Alexander Perezhogin, Peter Popovic, all did decently in the role, limited time they were here.

agreed

our drafting in the 90s sucked

just thinking about it gives me chills

I liked Lindsay. Good 4th line player. I liked Audette too but he was not the same player here
