I prepared a nice V-day dinner because my girl deserves it. Last night, she came over with a whole bunch of art supplies to help make valentines for my kid's class. Compared to last year, where my ex "gf" left me at home with our kid so she could go bang some other dude.
I like the lines too. I think Brodziak and Johnson have earned their spot in the Top 6. Those two have been consistently better than I could have expected, so its good to see them rewarded.
Also, it feels like Seto is starting to get going. And obviously Koivu and Heatley, are usually pretty good.
Scored a Washington Capitals shirt in my Valentines Day goodie basket, which was pretty cool. I don't really like the team, but I collect pretty much anything hockey related.
Pretty sure I won't be able to watch the game tonight. Like everyone else, I'll be on girlfriend duty.

This is easily the most frustrating part of making a GDT. Anything photoshopped or uneditable is bound to change.

1) Nope, I grew up in Apple Valley until I was 12 then we moved to West Bloomington but my mom got transferred to New York so I was bouncing back & forth between Queens NY (Thats why I love the Isles btw, got the place there when the North stars left) & Bloomington for years. Then when I moved out to Cali in early 2004 & lived in Huntington Beach (OC) for 6 years & then I moved to Mission Beach down in San Diego about 2 years ago.

3) We should be the first GDT to take the daring step of not including the game! Not even in the OP! We should talk about the weather & what everyone's doing that week. We could go down in history with Gophers thread but for being the first Game Day thread to not acknowledge the game what so ever.
Thinking of making Chicken Marsala for tonight (unless I get home and the kitchen is in use). Should I go with seasoned baby reds (boiled, not steamed as I don't have a steamer) or some sort of pasta?

Eh dont sweat it, like half of my Spaceball'd Columbus Lineup turned out to be injured and I was too lazy to re-do the image. Its not like were gonna look back on this GDT a few years from now and go "Hey! He had the wrong lines! It's inaccurate! Shenanigans!"

July to October = "Ok, we lost Burns but gained Setoguchi & we got some new picks & prospects too, Wow, Heatley, ok im in! I hope this is a good year!"
October = "ok, not bad, we're average, not great but not horrible"
November to Mid December = "Oh man are we really this awesome!? No way! GO WILD!! WooHoo!!! Yeo is the man! I BELIEVE!!"
Mid December to Early January = "Ok, a few injuries, a few set-backs but we're still in it, not in first place anymore but we're still ok, we'll recover!"
Mid January to Start of February = "Ummm, WTH just happened!? We're in 8th? How did that happen!? Can we please win like 1 game or at least score a few goals...?"
Mid February = "12th place huh? When we lose tonight I hope it's not too embarrassing... Maybe we'll at least not get routed or shut-out... How long til next season? Man I hope we get a good draft pick."
Just out of curiosity am I the only one that goes into every game now expecting to lose?

Yeah thats pretty much how it goes.
I think karma decided to show us whos boss by giving us a big tease, letting our team play up to its potential for a while before it pulled on some cord and said "Haha minnesota fans, thats all you get!".
Like a girl who flirts the hell out of you to get you to buy her dinner, makes you think youre gonna get laid all night by doing all kinds of sexy crap, but then runs out on you when you go to take care of the check.
