QFT.

I would be extremely pissed and totally dumbfounded if we made this move.

I've also heard rumors that CBJ wants Stepan as well as Dubinsky.

You are insane to want to give up Del Zotto.

Rick Nash says he will veto any trade to a team that is worse than Columbus.

Do they want Henrik too?
Hell, we can throw in the George Washington Bridge while we're at it.

yeah, im with this gentleman. no trades...no big ones, at least. this team is great and on path to get better. maybe anisimov could go. but i dont like trading low. maybe an erixon could go, but he also...value will go up, most likely. stand pat. get a smyth if he's open to being traded. all good.

You're right - it is lopsided and unfair to CBJ, but the only way I want to see Nash and his overinflated contract on the Rangers is if Sather can pull off another ridiculously one sided trade al la Gomez for McDonagh.

Erixon sucks, Kreider is unproven, and people seem to think he's the second coming of Pavel Bure, which he is not.

That being said, why not sign the kid soon and bring him up as a late season call up? Much cheaper alternative.

Nash's contract is ridiculous, and he has 18 goals this year. If he was Stamkos' level for his salary, that would be a consideration.

Still relatively young, but just can't for his asking price. The future would be affected way to much.

If we are going to trade someone, I wouldn't mind packaging Anisimov + Erixon + a pick for something nice in return. Carter is a CHEAPER viable option, but I would like Bobby Ryan ideally.

If Nash WAS cheaper though, he would be a GREAT addition to the team. Dude has a ton of balls, and size, and can put the puck into the net. He would fit the system great here.

Did you check Hanks numbers? Check again. Impossible to surpass.

Nash is hard to excel. Even for Kreider.

Next year? We may be missing more than we missing now next year. I would give anyone we do not need THIS YEAR for Nash. We need no Kreider this year. Kreider is not our core last time i checked.

Good, I wouldn't expect someone who actually thinks he is good, and ISN'T soft as cottage cheese to agree with my post.

Even on paper, trading Dubinsky for Nash barely makes this team appreciably better.

On paper, trading Dubinsky or Anisimov AND a roster D for Nash makes this team appreciably worse.

Stand pat unless we're getting a real sweetheart of a deal. You can look at doing something like this next year. Every single year we see a player like this on the market. This isn't a small window to acquire another top-line player and this is not a one year window for this team.
