And you must have missed the part where I said they can add another dman(Gill or Hannan).

Coburn-Timonen
Gill/Hannan-Carle

Probably going to have to include a pick too, though if its JvR and Mez, it might be a 2nd or 3rd. I'd still consider it. Then look into moving picks and prospects for Gill and Grossman, without losing our 1st.

Nash - Giroux - Jagr
Hartnell - Briere - Voracek
Talbot - Schenn - Simmonds
Rinaldo - Couturier - Read

Timonen - Coburn
Carle - Gill
Grossman - Gustafsson/Bourdon

Still pretty damn good.

edit: Forgot Talbot

EDIT--

Misread / conflated your post with one your were responding too and somehow got "JVR + Mez + 1st / 2nd" instead of JVR + Bob + 1st / end. I'll make a note to delete my posts.

That right there is a good lineup. Just so the forwards actually learn how to play D we would stand a chance. Nash with Giroux = Gold

I can see them wanting Bernier back, I guess. Bernier and someone else?

Edit: haha. Great minds think alike.

I have no clue, but if Eklund called this trade first we have to give him some props at least, they would be due. Also everyone be prepared for HF to shut down lol

****... well at least he is heading to a Western Conference team...

I was just going to say, like a few others have already stated, that the Flyers should make a big push for Nash. If it means giving up a prospect, picks and say JVR, I would do it, just to keep him from going to the Rangers or the Bruins. If you get Nash, just try to flat out outscore the team. The defense is not all that bad, needs work, but I think that would be a team that could go pretty deep.
On the other hand though, the much more reasonable approach is to keep all your assets and rebuild the d through the draft and through free agency during the offseason.

Bernier, Penner, Hunter, and a pick.

That's awful I hope it's at least a 1st rounder.

edit: if true.

Bernier, JJ, 2012 1st... that's my guess.

Kings have some assets to step in and take JJ's spot.

Scott Howson must be trying extremely hard to get fired. Jeff Carter is probably throwing a temper tantrum somewhere...

If Nash is traded for that Columbus should fold their franchise.

If he is truly traded to L.A that is a very good move for them. Nash and Richards formed what I thought was the best line on team Canada and bringing those two together again will do worlds for that team.

Quick let's offer them Shelley for a first rounder, while Howson is still totally insane.

Until he gets it right. He teases rumors, but doesn't throw out names like he did until he's pretty sure.

Supposedly Nash gave Howson a "teams I'll go to" list before these rumors started to go crazy, so Im guessing yes.
