I remember he DID call the Richards trade though, but seriously, that's insulting to the BJ's. And the "looking for confirmation" part just gives it away.

I love how first its a done deal, then he's waiting for conformation, and now finally it's a strong rumor.

God.... I suppose if you claim every possible outcome in existence eventually you could be "right." (sorry about how this was written I'm picking on Eklund!)

I'd still be fine with Penner, Johnson, Bernier and a 1st.

The usual "More to come" on his site. So that pretty much means he won't speak of this rumor EVER AGAIN. He'll act like it never existed.

Trading for a guy with Nash's production levels (60-70 pts), long contract and ridiculous cap hit doesn't make sense for the Kings, regardless who is going the other way. If we were talking about a consistent 75-85 pt guy, I would see it differently. But as good as Nash has been in the past in terms of goal scoring, I just haven't seen enough of it in a few years for it to make sense to give up something like JJ + JB + a 1st.

He has been doing that on bad teams with no real skill......he is a good player who would benefit a lot by playing with other good players.

Only thing Eklund has going for him is the 1st amendment... and that doesn't even apply to him since he's Canadian, so he's got nothing going for him, except CBGB... so again, he's got nothing going for him.

LBFF has more going for him with a plate of hot wings than Eklund has on his best day.

Even though this sounds far fetched, if you do the numbers, this is how it will have to end up for LA....We have to ship one big contract the other way...Bernier is our strongest bargaining chip right now. Throwing in Hunter takes us more salary from LA. All Columbus wants is Bernier so the 2-3 expiring contracts doesn't hurt them.

Kings have to deal away one of JJ, Stoll or Penner's contracts.

Kings biggest bargaining chips are Bernier, Lokitionov, Voynov, Toffoli, Hickey and Muzzin.

We only have a 1st and 3rd, 4th, etc....

So it will be one or much in each of those categories for a big fish.

Woah, woah, woah. Do NOT try to pawn Eklund off on us Canadians, he's 100% USA. From Philly I believe

What would be the opposite of Rick Nash to the Los Angeles Kings?

Steve Nash to the Sacramento Kings?

Can't believe Steve Nash is going to a team even worse than the Phoenix Suns!

Eklund back pedals faster than anyone in the known universe.

100% Done deal to rumor in nanseconds.

Wonder what his hit count went up to after the tweet. I would laugh my ass off if nothelen asks Lombardi about this "rumor".

That guy is good. From DONE to RUMOR. His hit count just skyrocked. That deal is just silly for CBJ.

so if he made it up, where on earth did he get those names from?

If you are going to make it up for hits, why not says Nash to Toronto done for Schenn, Kadri, Reimer

Eklund and Rick Nash became worldwide trending topics and twitter and someone said his website timed out because of all the traffic. Shows he doesn't need to to be Toronto or whatever. If the trade is lopsided enough, people are gonna talk about it or how dumb Eklund is. Either case, he wins since all he needs is for people to come to his site and he will get revenue.

Once this went from "100%" to being a "strong rumor" it was pretty obvious... He puts out "strong rumors" all year long that never amount to anything.

Okay, if the players named by the poo slinger are true, then that is a good deal for the Kings in terms of not losing any critical roster players (Bernier, Penner & Hunter). However, as others have said, the Kings would have to shed salary elsewhere. I don't know if that comes from losing someone like Stoll's salary, or perhaps the cap relief from a move like Gagne to LTIR would make the cap number work as well (even though he has been reported as skating lately).
