He did get the Carter and Richards deals' in June which was shocking. Don't think this is true at all but both of those deals involved teams that are in this deal so we'll see.

Yea but it isn't just Kreider you'd sacrifice.

No cap space to sign Stepan, McDonagh, Del Zotto.

So is Nash worth Kreider, Stepan, McDonagh, Del Zotto, Dubinsky, and a first round pick?

**** no.

**** Nash.

Organizational suicide is absolutely right.

This nonsense has Dolan written all over it. ****ed the Knicks over now he wants to **** the Rangers.

That's completely untrue. If we could sign Parise for 7M/year this summer (as we've shown works) we could do the same with 7.8 for Nash. The point is whether he's worth 7.8M for 6 more years AND losing the assets it will take to obtain him. That's a different story.

Actually not true. They can re-sign all of the young players as none of them are going to get crazy contracts any time soon as they have many years until they are UFA's. By that time, Gaborik will either have re-signed or be let go. Either way there is space to save money.

The Rangers aren't even that close to the cap this year if you just remove Wolski for the entire season. That's an extra 3.8 million. Dubinsky + Wolski = Nash.

I am not advocating it as I don't like his contract either but it could work. Choices will have to be made at some point and to me, if it means having Nash in the top-6 and needing to move Sauer and Anisimov due to cap reasons to be replaced by younger players I may be okay with that down the road.

Ranger fans push for the Nash trade.

Sather hears you and trades for Nash with picks, prospects and part of the current core.

Rangers lose 25 in a row and miss the playoffs.

Because the Rangers missed the playoffs, Ranger fans are in a foul mood and drink a lot.

Since Ranger fans are in a foul mood and drink a lot, their spouses kick them out and take the kids, the house, and half the money.

When Ranger fans spouses kick them out, Ranger fans go to live in a tent city in Central Park with other broke and homeless Ranger fans.

Don't live in a tent city in Central Park.

Call Sather and tell him no!

Still checking for 100% confirmation. To be clear, the rumor is Nash to La for bernier, penner, hunter, and a pick.
Interesting. That package really isn't that enticing, and wouldn't be hard to beat. Regardless, what about when one source insults another "source"? Can we post that?

make no mistake about it. if this rumored deal is true I don't understand the thinking one iota. just reporting from a LEAGUE source.

Seems like he's slowly backing off it.

You mean personally? I cannot judge that fairly from such a huge distance...However, a big, top line, powerforward with snarl is exactly what I think we need in the forward core....Plus a D w/ a point shot.

Post of the week.

Let LA be stuck with that cap hit for the next few years. Good luck.

Yeah, obviously he has all the tools. But this team is more than the sum of its parts. Every guy is 100% committed to the system and each other. Is he that kind of player? I don't know...but there seems to be at least a little concern about that.

I dont want Nash. This team is in first place. I'm not interested in possibly messing up the teams chemistry. I'm all for adding someone at the deadline. But not by removing core players from the current team. Not to mention we are also trading our top prospect.

If we have a bad playoff run then you try to sign Parise in the summer. **** Rick Nash!

He isn't aggressive, has no defense or shot blocking skills. Only thing he really has is his shot. Gaborik is a lot better than Nash. Nash is comparable to a Nedved.

I would be careful as well, and my interest in him is reliant on the right price. Overpaying for anyone can be a tragic mistake.

I do think he can perform however. He was a maniac in the Olympics. Despite his stats not being incredible, he has the tools to score in the playoffs if he's ready to play hard.

Obviously, we can't criticize the source of the original rumor, but can we take solace as it is dismantled and ridiculed on Twitter?

So all we need to do is spend more money getting the 2012 equivalents of Lemieux and Jagr and Nash will be putting up 90 point seasons in no time
