Sbisa is a talented kid, don't get me wrong. He's got all the tools to be a good defenseman, and he's definitely shown he can put it together. Fowler is just on a different level in terms what he can bring to the table, as well as how much further he can go. It's not a knock against Sbisa.

We better score in the first minute of the 3rd. Not scoring on a 4 minute PP is inexcusable and will surely bite us in the rear.

Well, it -was- Columbus.

They also just don't look sharp tonight as a team. The team looks tired to me.

Usually when I have an opinion that people generally disagree with, especially within my own fanbase, I reassess that opinion and consider the fact that they might be correct.

I've got the game on mute and I'm just occasionally glancing at it. I don't get the feeling I'm missing anything.

I don't know how it is in jets boards but when all the ducks fans are in one ship that has disaster written all over it

Don't think you can compare them, they are different in their playing styles, but very complimentary to each other.
I see Sbisa as Beauch junior...physical hitter with great stand 'em up potential. While Fowler is Nieds junior...playmaker with great stickhandling skills.
Need both skill sets for a great defensive pairing.

Just saying...

Hockey analysts and scouts rate Fowler higher too. Fowler has franchise potential, where Sbisa's ceiling seems to be as a top pairing guy, with a greater likelihood he ends up a 3rd or 4th defenseman.

I agree with this. But Fowler will always be more talented and more valuable. Especially trade value, which was the original dispute.

Either way, you might be one of 5 hockey fans who think Sbisa is better than Fowler. And four of them are Sbisa's parents and friends.

And as I type that Sbisa gets BURNED by Koivu.

Well, sure. Both players are necessary to win. But in terms of high end potential and game-breaking ability? It's Fowler. Beauchemin was a great complement to Niedermayer, but everyone knew that Niedermayer was "the man" for Anaheim.

Looked up just in time to see Getzlaf waste a brilliant chance in the slot by skating wide and passing.

Lol. It was never a question. If Chris Pronger was traded because Niedermayer was considered to be too valubale...I don't need to elaborate.
