The Devils and Pens scare me the most this year. If Crosby comes back and is even close to what he used to be, the rest of the East is in trouble

I'd love to see a first round pummeling of the Isles but I'd hate to see the Debbies. They seem to be giving the Rangers fits lately.

We won the first game. The 2nd game was won by the stanchion for nj and the 3rd game was won by nj due to a terrible no goal call. Hardly giving us fits, well they are giving us ***** fits

Bring on anyone, I have the upmost faith our boys will bring it EVERY game no matter who we play in the first round. U think they are playing well now, just wait till that first round, they are going to ratch it up a few more gears. What an amazing team we have.

In the first round? The Caps. I'm sick of seeing them in the playoffs and living within their TV coverage area means I have to watch the local broadcast for all of the games and **** Joe Beninati

Despite their struggles this year they're also a team I hate to see the Rangers play because you can have **** like what happened last game where the Rangers are playing well and doing **** right and then freaking Semin will just unleash a perfect shot that's unstoppable and suddenly the Caps are right back in it

They're inconsistent as **** but they have players with so much talent that things can turn on a dime

I just want to see some other teams...

Beyond them, Montreal would suck but I don't think they'll make it in. Toronto wouldn't be my first choice either but I'm not too scared of them.

A big NO to the Caps. Ovechkin can wreck all plans by himself. And also a big NO to the Pens in the first round. The Devils would be quite a series but it would be a war.

Canadiens or Devils. We can't win in Montreal and both teams have good goaltending. Would love to play the Islanders, Jets, Senators or the Leafs.

I'm not sure Backstrom is gonna be back this year...he's not even skating right now, he got messed up bad.

On the other hand, the coach is pointing fingers at the players, the players are criticizing the coach, the whole thing looks bad in DC right now. I'd be perfectly happy to see them miss the playoffs at this point

Detroit.

Oh, yeah, reality...The only team in the east that scares me is Pittsburgh. I would be perfectly happy to see someone else take them out.

Maybe its just me, but I'd rather play Pens then teams like Devils, Sens and Leafs. If it works out the way I want it to, we would get Panthers first round.

Least want to play:
Habs, but not worried about that.
Capitals
Devils
Sens
Leafs

If we can play at or near the level we have been, hank included, the only thing standing in our way of winning the east, IMO, is sidney crosby coming back, or boston playing like the 2011 playoff version. The way things look, we're setting up for a possible pitt matchup in round 2. a healthy crosby would scare the **** out of me in that scenario.

if we win the division, round 1 is all the same to me. bunch of average teams, pitt/phily/nj wouldn't fall to 7 or 8 probably. just win the division, take care of business, and then round 2 will be tough.

Because no one on this team knows how to play in Montreal, and it's not a guarentee they win all the games in MSG either.

Take a look at the Rangers record in Montreal. More importantly look at Hanks numbers in Montreal and against Montreal altogether. Not very good

we can't win in Montreal. We just can't do it. That place is NYR Kryptonite.

In 1994, everyone said that Nassau was our Kryptonite. We were on a 14 game winless streak there. We all know how playoffs turned out.

Regular season and playoffs are two different things.

This is all presuming that the Rangers are first in teh conference...always a little worried about getting ahead of ourselves.
