Burke will not be a seller. He thinks too much of himself to do that.

We don't exactly have a ton of players with value that we'd be willing to move.

Grabo/MacArthur would be about it. Grabo cause he's a UFA, Mac because I don't think he's a longterm 2nd line winger option for us.

Our young defensemen? They wouldn't really be "sold" per say, but more traded for upgrades in other areas, and that's something we could do regardless of whether or not we're considered "sellers" or "buyers".

Lombardi/Komi/Connolly/Armstrong all have next to no value or negative value.

While the Leafs may not be buyers, they won't be sellers.

Need a couple of more pieces for the cup run. Burke will never sell.

We are all waiting for that team shaping huge blockbuster trade but as in years past, I expect little nothing moves....Joey Crabb for a 5th round pick type of deals. I'd be surprised if the Leafs did anything of significance. It would be nice to wake up to a 9 player blockbuster deal that would actually make a difference for once. I'm getting fed up with looking at the garbage on this hockey team.

Remove Stajan, Blake, Hagman, Mayers.....Insert Bozak, Connolly, Lombardi,Brown....same sh1te...different pile.
Seriously?? I would take Brown over the 1st 4, let alone Bozak,Lombardi and Connolly.

Ones in which both teams agree on a fair exchange.

lmao he has pride? would be something nice to see around here with our team instead of trying to trade everyone off every 5 games. we go on a 3 game winning streak and u will be saying burke is a genious not to trade anyone. flavour of the week

This is exactly right. Burke will only move bad contracts or as he likes to say he'll be buying and selling. If he sold of players for draft picks and prospects he'd pretty much be indicating that his time in Toronto is over. He's going all in IMO.

Yes...today's losers are much more entertaining than yesterdays losers. Today's $h1tty GM is so much smarter than yesterday's $h1tty GM....and guess what....today's $h1tty coach is the same $h1tty coach as yesterday's.

Leafs are way too close to making the playoffs to become sellers. Heck they're in a playoff spot already...

Selling armstrong, lombardi and komisarek would make us a better team.

Thing is, no one in their right mind would take them.

Grabo would likely get first + top prospect from a team maybe more...

So if we sOld at the deadline it'd be something like:
Grabo for a first + mid prospect
Mac for a first/prospect
Liles for a first maybe?

Not really in favour of becoming a seller with the winter classic coming up and us still being in a playoff spot if course. Although it WOULD give kadri+frattin+colbourne some NHL experience

i just listened to burke`s interview on the calgary station yesterday and said certain teams will get a reality check by the trade deadline and will be out of it

with 6 tough games left, a part of me hopes its us

burke seems at his best when he`s selling and ripping ppl off

we dont really have anything of value to "Sell" off.

if the core of our team going into next season is something like the following. it only leaves the players i left out to sell and im not sure there is a market for those players, even for free.

lupul xxxxxx kessel
xxxxxxx grabs xxxxx
kulemin bozak xxxxx
brown steckel xxxxxx

phaneuf xxxxxxx
liles xxxxxxx
gardiner schenn

reimer
xxxxxx

that leaves the following players expendable to try and move and fill in the xxxxxx.

connnolly
lombardi
macarthur
armstrong
boyce
crabb
rosehill
gunnarson
franson
komisarek
aulie
gus

out of this list i dont see too much that we can put together to try and get something substantial. im not sure if franson, macarthur, and connolly is going to get burke carter. best we can hope for is probably crabb and rosehill for penner.

I'd like to see Burke do a mini sell-off.

Hopefully Grabo gets inked to an extension.

CMac is the one guy who I don't think is vital to our future that could net us a good return. There are multiple candidates to replace his ice time with in Colborne, Frattin and Kadri. CMac should be able to net a nice return. If we could net a 1st rounder that is a big asset that Burke could use as a trade chip to go shopping for a player at the draft.

Liles won't be moved, Mac won't be moved for anything that can't help us now, I hope Grabo gets traded, because I think he'll be asking for too much in the off-season.

A first from a 15-20 and a good prospect for Grabo would be fair. (Package our 1st + the other one to get Galchenyuk )
