Huet will at the very least get a tryout and a legit chance at a roster spot with someone in the NHL next year if he wants it. There are worse guys in the league.
I'd rather see Huet prove me wrong off the Hawks dime next season then waste cap space on him for 25 games this year.

We miss you. Please come save our season.

You're the only one who misses him.

A .915 SV% in the Swiss National League basically translates to Emery's .899 in the NHL.

Actually, he has a .931 SV% and 2.00 GAA this season.

The only fault in the post you quoted is that the picture is Khabibulin, not Huet, mistakingly.

You realize you are posting pic of Khabby not Huet right? You can tell by his crazy eye

You're right, didn't look close enough, just grabbed one, but hell, Khabby would be a huge improvement. I even miss Steve Passmore at this point.

Those are some very impressive numbers. No doubt he could improve on Emery's 89.9%.

I know it's not, just your usual ridiculous European wisdom.

The Hawks are the one paying him over 5 million. He's their's.
if they have an agreement with the team, they won't change anything. Paid or not. There are many cases around the world that this will not happen

Emery's NHL resume > Huet's. It's not hard.
Emerys Team when he made it to the finals > Huets all time

really, all I remember with Emery is the finals year and when he tried to come back with his not existing hip

I don't get what you're trying to say.. Are you trying to say that the Ottawa team that went to the finals before losing in 4 games was better than the 08-09 Hawks team or the 09-10 Cup team? I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Not to mention, small detail, that Huet wasn't even the starter on either team.. he had lost the job far before the post-season came along.

Huet wasn't the starter these years, Emery was only the starter because? Well he couldn't even get a NHL contract as starter the following year.

Because he out-performed the other goaltender in Ottawa? Huet was out-performed by a guy the Hawks tried to dump and was then out-performed by a rookie the following year.

Emery > Huet.

I wanted to reply to this by making some Salak joke, but I'll just go with: The numbers don't lie.

Huh, thats weird. I pulled my stats from here:

http://www.nationalleague.ch/NL/spie...hp?season=2012

Is that not the right site for the National League? My French is pretty bad so I easily could have missed the part where they specify its unofficial or out of date.

You're best pulling your numbers from his team's official site here:
