With two teams that are RED HOT, does this not feel like 1994?

I mean every night, it seems the city expects to have one of their teams to put on a show. And they are certainly not disappointing.

Plus, all this LINsanity/Rangers dominance comes only a week after the Giants celebrate a Super Bowl win.

New York is the greatest city in sports right now! Loving it.

it feels good, hasn't felt this good probably since around 94, but no way.

in 94 both the knicks and the rangers were considered favorites to win it all

For once I'd like to see a basketball team come out of no where and win it all.

Why not the Knicks?

This game sure did sound like it was played in NY. Look at all those Lin fans, insane. The kid is amazing.

God bless the DVR. It was a tricky play to avoid Bill Pidto between periods, but I did it. Watched the first two periods of the Rangers game, then the entire Knicks game and then finished the third period of the Rangers game. Pure sports Nirvana.

(And, yes, my girlfriend was in favor of this plan on valentine's day.)

Jeremy Lin is fantastic. 27 and 11 (and a win) with a rusty Amar'e back in the lineup. Yes, there were 8 TOs, but the they are clearly the result of a) his suddenly massively increased playing time, b) teams keying on him and c) him learning to play against new schemes at the NBA level. I was VERY encouraged to see him adjust in the second half and cut down on that number. The kid is legit.

If Melo comes back and the team starts to falter again with Lin disappearing, the fans just may run him out of town.

Yeah we all know NY is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately city. Lately the Knicks have been better off with Lin than Melo, and if Melo comes back and the team starts to suck people are going to call for him to be traded. In fact, listening to WFAN right now a few people have already called in and suggested he be traded.

The most he can get is the full MLE, which the Knicks will have and he's a RFA, they can match any offer.

If you really think Dolan is letting this money machine get away, you're nuts.

This is all Dolan sees when watching Lin: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Honestly, I think it's only a matter of time before the Knicks come down to earth and fans turn on Lin.

It'll be a shame, but I expect it to happen.

Was hoping to go to the Knicks game and do the MSG doubleheader too and was banking on prices getting cheaper as the game got closer but as soon as Lin came, prices went north and not south lol

5 of the 7 tabs on SportsCenter this morning were about Lin.

This is worse then Tebow, it's beyond obnoxious. I don't care how good he's doing, it's been 5 or 6 games. Do it for a season and then stuff our heads with it. Another reason why I have a hard time stomaching every other sports sans Soccer and Tennis. The 3 pointer last night was great, but no player in any sport should be getting this much attention.

I respectfully disagree. And, actually, if you were a basketball fan, you might appreciate it more.

To give you a hockey parallel, this isn't like a kid coming from the AHL and having a couple of nice games - it's more like... er... a kid coming from the ECHL, taking over the top center spot on the Blue Jackets (if the Blue Jackets played in a major media market) and then recording a multi-point game every night - including a couple of OT winners - leading them to an undefeated string that pushed them back into the playoff contention.

Agree. It also doesnt help that Knicks are 6-0 since Lin started playing regular minutes.
