Trade Gill, Moen, and AK46 if that's what the organization wants to do. Call up some of the farm to replace them. Start Budaj in as many games as possible, and "Boom" you've got yourself a top 5 pick.

Then thank RC for his efforts....kick Gauthier to the curb, and retool this team properly over the summer.

Darche could play on a shutdown line. So could Pleks and Bourque.

We need upgrades to create a 2nd line and add a tough guy to the 4th with Moen and White. Get rid of all the DMen except for Emelin, Gorges and Subban.

Gauthier is not up to that task since he was the one who brought in our weak ass defense to begin with.

Out of 57 games this season, the Habs have led at some point in the game 41 times. Their record in those games is 23-10-8 or if you prefer they lost 28 points in those games. IF the Habs had only lost HALF of those points (which is the average points lost by any team leading at some point since the lockout) they would have 69 points or if you prefer tied for 4th place in the Eastern Conference and just one point from the NE division lead.

How do you lead in 72% of the games and be in this position?

blowmez played ok but outside of cole and maxpac - maybe bourque, were still over-matched in both our top 6 and bottom 3...

Really makes no sense.

Gomez is the one that should be sitting down. AK with Eller and Leblanc. Leave it as so damn it.
Gomez is at a point that he doesn't help the team anymore. We don't need him. He brings nothing, creates nothing. I tried to defend him sometime but I just can't anymore.

Did you guys see him smile and joking on the bench when Plekanec took that delay of game penalty with 1:30 left in the third period? I was like why the **** is he smiling?

What about

Subban Emelin
Kaberle Gorges

For d pairing next game...

Gorges could help Kaberle defensively while Kaberle could play more minutes and help our team produce more.

Subban is pretty complee and physical and Emelin is progressing a lot... You'd have to keep your head up against that pairing.

One thing I really dislike about RC's coaching is his benching of players for long period of times for making mistakes.. Just let the guys play..

i thought Darche played pretty well tonight. He gets a lot of unwanted hate. He's hardworking and deserves to play more minutes than people who haven't shown the same intensity.

Boring wins from time to times are ok, you can't expect a team to play like tonight all season long, but when all 82 season games are boring as hell, there's a problem.
But boring wins lead to exciting playoffs....regular season is just filler as far as I'm concerned until about the last 10 games.

I hate shootouts.

Fun game with the worst possible result.

As smart as those goalie interference calls? Refs will call penalties on us. Standing up against Marchand would be worth it.

He has played very well of late, I wouldn't be surprised if a team came calling to acquire him at the deadline

It does not matter who can play on a shutdown line. We could also formulate a 2nd line too. The point is we do not have a shutdown line. We do not have a 2nd line.

Definitely not a terrible idea at all.

Atleast try it and see what happens.

Someone asked about Carriere earlier. That is his role. Benching coach.

Title needs to be more optimistic... We stole a point, a precious one at that, to one of the best team in the league and dominated the **** out of them physically.

Great great game by the Habs. I hope they play like that for the rest of the season. Then we might make it.

Not to mention the Habs do have the best PK in the league...they can afford to get nasty/stupid once in awhile.

Agreed, unless they're playing egregiously bad.

Too bad we lost, but I was entertained!

Was a great, chippy game. The smurfs are dead. This team is a lot bigger now than it was earlier this season, and bigger players get more ice time. We were definitely the "predators" on the ice tonight, dishing out the biggest hits and looking more intimidating.

And, even if we don't, at least we'll have one-quarter of a season's worth of exciting hockey.
