OT: RIP Doris

Any Met fans here? I'm sure you all know who she is.

Doris from Rego Park, a passionate caller to WFAN and devout Met fan has passed away from a long bout with cancer. She will be missed.

Agreed.

Doris & Jerome the "psycho yankee fan" are probably the two most recognizable callers on the FAN

The wrong one died...damn, thats was harsh!

Doris was a lifelong Mets fan who showed what loyalty really meant. Her voice and vast baseball knowledge will be greatly missed. R.I.P. Doris.

Going even further off topic, is WFAN a big listen in Philly?
I didn't know they extended out beyond the tri state area.

WFAN is a strong station.

I'll often listed to Mike & the Mad dog instead of our local WIP in Philly. They talk and know more sports (although not hockey) then the clowns they have on here in Philly.

There is a "John in Philly" who calls often, is that you?

Ageed. I loved Jody Mac, when he was on WIP. He sounds even better on the Fan.

Radio must be real bad down there, because Fat Man and the Pup don't know diddly.

They spout off more about their opinions and they don't talk to the listeners, they talk at the listeners.

Arrogant ****** is what they are.

ESPN Radio at 10:50 on the AM dial is a much better listen.

Yes, she suffered from neurofibromatosis. I was surprised to hear she was only 58.

Arrogant, obnoxious, clueless all true. I personally like Joe Beningo best, he is the complete opposite of them.

I know that Sommers is a big Rangers guy, but if he is talking about anything except hockey, I can't stand him. Much like the 1pm clowns, his talk will involve anything but sports. When he was on at noon, I could not tell you how many times I shut him off because if I'm listening to the WFAN, I want to hear about sports and not sandwiches or Sopranos.
