I truly can't imagine that Brian Burke would allow Wilson to scratch Luke Schenn two weeks before the deadline if he wasn't on the verge of being traded. He's possibly his best asset heading into the deadline.

If this is a coach's decision, it kills Schenn's value.

lol i like this guy

Bryan Hayes @HayesTSN

If Schenn gets traded before the deadline it's because he's a throw in. You're kidding yourself if you think he would be the main piece.

I don't think Homer's the only one who's expressed interest in him. If it's a trade, Burke might send him to Chicago.

Schenn is scratched in favor of Komisarek.

You do not get outplayed by Komisarek.

Flyers better not overpayplay for this guy.. His stock is definitely down this year

Maybe we can get him for a 3rd and hope he pulls a Del Zotto.

He hasn't gotten outplayed by Komisarek. Komisarek is a a former top 10 pick and Olympian (somehow). They probably want to get him going a little bit, see if they can toss him in a trade somewhere. They can't keep $4.5m in the press box

Would you give our first rounder for him?

nah they should give a second rounder and sestito (even though i think he could play an important role on the flyers) or someone from the phantoms

then use the 1st and other 2nd round pick in another deal for a defensemen

I don't think there is any chance we aren't giving our first for him unless a roster player (not Sestito) is being offered for him. They want size, so either JVR, Simmonds, or Voracek has to go their way.

I'd offer our first for Schenn for sure.

how is he worth a 1st if he isn't even good enough to start for them any more?

If you think he's never gonna start again then you're nuts.

he is only 22 yeards old and can bounce back easily from his bad year this year. If we got him for a first I would be impressed big time. 1) for homer actually getting him for that little. 2) Burke selling him that low.

Schenn played his best game of the year against us. He has the talent to be a top shutdown dman, but also can still develop his offensive game. Again only 22 years old.

Can anyone help e here, which one of our prospects has good size?

We're not the Blue Jackets, it's not like we'd be handing over Yakupov. Toronto rarely makes good first round decisions anyway.

Also, he has a high ceiling, Ron Wilson just hates him.

To be fair both looked bad in that game.. By the way it's not like Schenn is making penults.

Hall just scored. Dion the pylon was on the ice.

Pot meet kettle... lol

- Leafs fans: Schenn is an elite prospect.
- The NHL: Schenn is playing like crap, been a healthy scratch, and has had his ice time cut so his value is crap.

- Flyers fans: JVR is an elite prospect.
- The NHL: JVR has never scored more then 40 points in a season, he is having a crap season, been a healthy scratch in both of his first two seasons, and had his ice time cut to only 10-12 minutes a game a few weeks before he was hurt.
