Eller with a whopping 5:48 in ice-time...

Why do our coaches do this to our skill players?

A little word about the "classless" of habs fans at the Bell Center... These idiots should know that the fans never ever cheer a player who's injured, it was an exception. We saw the same player throw the dirtiest hit in Bell Center history and he gets an accidental puck in the face, not a dirty hit to the head or the knee... that's called karma and the fans deserve it. **** Chara, **** the Bruins and all the little whiners about sportmanship when clearly the Bruins and their fans don't have any...

But, after the game, he says to the press "we all played well, we didn't have any passengers tonight". I'm sure RC is appreciated this comment. I don't think his teammates did, even if some believe it to be true.

Well the Habs lost again.
But I sure liked the way they played.
Boston was trying to play a road game, but a few thing really surprised them last night.
Subban hit almost everything that came down his side, he forced everyone to get hit or put on an emergency STOP. It got so bad that the Bruins would look for Subban instead of what to do with the puck.
The OTHER side was not much better, Emelin was doing the same thing on his side. The Bruins were looking out for Emelin hits all night and Elelin forced a lot of Bruins to EMERGENCY STOP to duck the hits.
Over and over again, the Bruins tried to force Subban and Emelin to drop the gloves to no avail. The Bruins tried to get even and took BAD penilties. AS much as the refs were bad last night, they did set a strange tone on the Bruins, If a habs give a good hit you can't just go after him with NO consequence just to GET EVEN. The Bruins these day are finally getter STOPPED by the refs. This strange idea that it's ok to take 2 mins and SMASH with intent to SMASH and HURT in order to send a message is NOT to be tolerated any more. It's not hockey it's WAR. If you want WAR then just let everyone know and ALL players will be dead by morning and it's the end of hockey.

I would normally disagree with you about the booing of an injured player but when the media plays innocent and call the fans classless especially knowing that a few months ago Chara destroyed Max, I find the media to be idiotic. Bruins fans and as a matter of fact any fans of any team would probably have the same reaction. I remember some Bruins fans were booing Pax when he came back and a few Bruins players namely Recchi were saying the injury was not as bad as it looked. Maybe the media should think before they tweet stupidities and call fans classless.

It kind of sucks because of the shootouts.

I was noticing last night when they showed the records of both teams in the shootout.

With out loss last night we went to 2-8.

Those 8 shootout loses would have had us tied for 8th place last night before Toronto's win.

Not saying we should be 10-0. Just saying it hurts a bit seeing how many points we lost to the shootout and how it has effected us this season along with regular loses. Just looks crappy those exact 8 points could have us there.

I don't get what you are trying to say, what he said would not make his teammates unhappy he is saying that the team played well and there was NO passengers, unless you think he said there were people not working hard?

What he means is in other nights HE has noticed there were passengers. More of a coachs type comment than a players.

I think.

The Habs have been paper thin on D even before Markov was declared injured at the start of the season.

While watching the Habs D last night I was thinking..."when will Markov be back, because the Habs need him NOW"

Without Markov, the best the Habs could do now is slot in the equally horrible Weber in the place of Campoli and Kaberle....

Think of it... as of this moment, the Habs have Gorges, and two relatively rookie guys (Subban and Emelin) who are carrying the mail 5-5. Diaz is ok, but nothing "all world". Then Gill...who is awesome on PK, but lately turn overs are killing him 5-5...

The lack of depth on D at the beginning of the year was not addressed, if anything they totally fumbled on it. They should have kept Woywitka on the roster and sent Diaz to Hamilton where even he expected to be.

I am happy for Diaz, and he has not been a disappointment, but if you decide you want to keep him on the NHL roster, that means it is over for Weber, you cannot stock a team full of small offensive type D's.

Instead...they fall asleep at the switch and knee jerk sign Campoli when they realize they are short. Then they bring in Kaberle... what a clusterfudge.

After the loss on Monday, the coach blamed it and the benchings on having passengers (Gomez, AK) on the team. Darche said "tonight, we didn't have any passengers"... it's not his role to suggest that there were passengers in other games.

I'm absolutely baffled by what Chara is saying..."I don't understand why the fans would boo an injured player..." Are you kidding me? It's the same reason why everyone spits and urinates in your food when you go to a restaurant in Montreal, moron.

100%

We are starting to show our toughness out there. We are now hitting hard, fending for ourselves, and crashing the net, and dropping the gloves. We might not win the fights but at least teams will now know that they will get a few punches thrown at them.

Now, if we can just get 1 or 2 more guys like White and we'd have an awesome 4th line.

If it were any other player there would have been no booing. I for one would like to have heard more booing. A couple more pucks to the face and we can call it even

It's part of their "we can do no wrong" mentality, which has been perpetuated by the league by not disciplining them enough. The fact that the NHL has allowed them to get away with so much reckless behaviour has acted as a validation for them that they're a clean and classy team. So when they get booed, they feel like it's outrageous to them.

Speaking of which, Marchand will not get a call from Shannahan for his "classy" low-bridge against Emelin.

I think he's become RC's interpreter. At RC's press conference, he says "everyone played well... we didn't have any passengers tonight (obviously referring to Gomez and AK). In the dressing room, Darche says "Tout le monde a bien joué... on n'avait pas de passagers ce soir." Make of it what you will but if I'm Gomez, AK or even Eller, I'm not buying Darche a beer and sharing my thoughts with him.

Its ok because marchand said you have to look out for the players safety... except for slewfoots, low bridging and elbows to the back of heads those are fine.

Did you guys visit that Hal Gill kneeing thread on the main board?

Quite the change in tone in Bruins fans from that McQuaid kneeing thread a little while back.

blame the lost of points on price, and the coach isn't helping any. RC should be putting the backup goalie in for shoot outs, price is not getting it done. price is weak on SO's and breakaways

Both parties are to blame. Everyone knows shootouts are all in your head, they're pressure filled. Boston forwards (and most other teams for that matter) have much less pressure because they're confident Thomas will make the save or that the next player will score. Montreal players know they HAVE to score, and Price knows the HAS to save each shot.
