Difference is, Datsyuk is not getting constantly run by scrubs virtually every game. His team is there to stand up for him. Same could not be said for Kessel. What happens in your fantasy world when after the 20th hit he takes in a week to make a defensive play, he tweaks something and is put on the IR?

My head is spinning reading about what Columbus is looking to get in return for Rick Nash.

No doubt that Nash is a franchise player and he is paid like one.
Teams can't financially support multiple highly paid franchise players in the salary cap system.

Instead of trading for Nash, I would FAR prefer to wait until the off season and hope the team can maybe land Zach Parise for similar $$$ that Nash is currently receiving.

Burke...DO NOT give up assests AND cap space.
This team is not that close to winning the cup this year that you have to mortgage the future!

There should be an option for both.
