How would this news make you feel?

Then add in the players the Flyers would have to give up. This would not make sense to me, unless it was a serious low-ball offer (and that's not going to happen).

If Flyers management is really spending any time tending to this situation, I doubt it's with any other intent than to jack up the price for the Rangers.
I really don't see how Nash has the trade value anywhere near what is being said.

Boston, Los Angeles, the Rangers, San Jose and Toronto are believed to be on the approved list for Nash he would have to waive a no-movement clause in his contract before he could be traded but the return the Blue Jackets seek could vary widely from club to club.
Looks like we aren't in his plans. This article is by the beat writer for them too and is pretty reliable.

Kings seem like the most likely destination if there is was, they have the best to offer of what the Jackets need.

Apparently a deal fell apart when Jack Johnson expressed concerns about playing in Columbus.

He doesn't have a NTC, but given the scope of the task ahead for the Bluejackets, it seems prudent for Howson to be wary about taking on (other) unhappy assets.

Rick Nash's 'approved list' [Columbus writer Aaron Portzline.]

The five are: Leafs, Bruins, NYR, Sharks, Kings.

All this talk about Nash is for nothing because we are not even an inch close to getting him. The team would have to be remade AGAIN.

I hope he goes to the Rangers and destroys their chemistry... it would be nice to see them tie up 7.8 million in another player. That would make Richards/Nash signed longterm to huge money.

@NHLAdamK: #CBJ senior advisor Craig Patrick among scouts at Flyers-Sabres game tonight. #CBJ GM Scott Howson was here Saturday
I figured I'd put it here. A lot of rumors flying around. Could also be Tyutin or someone totally irrelevant.... Hopefully.

I somehow don't believe the Blue Jackets will be dealing Tyutin for anything less than overpayment. Might be one of their young d-men though. Obviousy Nash is out of the question at this point since the Flyers aren't on his list.

Makes a ton of sense. It sounds like Howson is pushing this trade and approached Homer first.

Columbus has had 2 reps, a scout and exec, to each of last 3 home games

Including Howson being here twice in a week to meet with Holmgren in person. Morganti also reported that they had a 20 min meeting with Flyers brass. You don't come to Philly twice and meet in person with top execs face to face to discuss Fedor Tyutin.

Don't we always play Bob against Pittsburgh? It's because he usually plays well against them right?

Maybe we're show-casing Bryzgalov?

*fingers crossed*

Bob, Mez/Carle, Read, 1st, 2nd. That's all I'm willing to give up. And Nash is one of my favorite players...

Bob is undefeated in Pittsburgh. Bryz also plays very well against the Pens, lifetime Sv% of .939 before today.

Bryz is waiving his NTC to go to Columbus.
